Do not hire this attorney for any reason. Hired him to represent for child support review. The court case dragged on for a year and a half, in all fairness due to the pandemic but I was billed constantly for document review and other miscellaneous charges. He would go to court on my behalf and not communicate any changes on my case. When I shared with him my frustrations, he basically said fine and told his paralegal to drop me as a client. Despite being charged an arm and a leg, he would often tell me that I had to research on my own and get back to him. Awful, arrogant, greedy and incompetent in almost every way for my case. Their office is awful. His main paralegal (or whatever she is) Is completely incompetent as well. Created way too many headaches as it seems she couldn't handle the simplest of tasks. Do not believe the reviews on Avvo or Google as they must be 100% fake. Since I put this on Google, ask yourself, why does each positive review have perfect spelling and grammar?

I was married for 20 years and a stay at home mom. When I decided to leave my marriage the next important decision I had to make was to hire the right attorney to represent me. My husband is a lawyer, which meant I needed someone who would need to be smarter than he is in regards to divorce law. I met with Chris and knew he was the right choice in representing me. Chris told me the documents I needed to obtain in regards to assets and liabilities. He would call and talk to me when issues arose with my husband. Chris and I discussed how to go about this divorce so it would come to a resolution quickly. Chris suggested we go through mediation and it was a rough start at first with all the raw emotions. Our mediator was amazing in trying to get us to see the only thing that was important are the children and what is best for them. It took a few times of my ex getting angry and storming out, but James Bigos knew to give him space before calling us back. After the last mediation we finalized everything. The zoom court was easy and Chris did an amazing job representing me. I would highly recommend Christopher Heberg for anyone going through a divorce.

Erica has been a much needed rock during a very difficult time in my life. She has always made sure that I feel heard and has an empathetic way of being realistic of expectations. She helps to ease the anxieties that inevitably come with family court situations and truly wants what is best for you. Chris is all responsive to any questions that I have had regarding my divorce. Always make me feel welcome and comfortable with all my questions. If you are looking for a lawyer that is on your side he is the person that you should have represent you. I certainly feel lucky to have found him!

I called looking for a lawyer for final step of a divorce ruling already made just had to fill out final steps and he was rude to me and tried charging $750 just for the last step...mind you ruling was already made. He had poor manners and talked to me like he was better than me and like I wasn’t a potential client. Very unprofessional to treat potential clients the way he treated me.
