I served on a jury research focus group at The Derrick Law Firm. I thought it was a valuable experience for me and for the firm and the client. The firm and client were able to learn about what discussions or questions might come from a typical, local jury. This will enable the lawyers to anticipate what might happen at trial so they are better able to serve their client. I was impressed by the professionalism of the attorneys and staff and how efficiently the whole event was handled.

I think the focus group is a good way to interpret public opinion on legal issues and what can expected or anticipated from an untrained individual in the many different scenarios.
