My experience with Adam Owensby and Seibert Law Firm fell short of expectations, particularly regarding communication and clarity. It did not reflect the "quality client representation" they claim to provide. During my initial $275 meeting with Adam, he took minimal notes and suggested writing a letter to the other party as the sole course of action. Later, when I discovered the other party was taking me to court, I received a $3,000 payment request—without a retainer agreement, contract, or any explanation. I emailed Adam for clarification about the price difference and requested a formal agreement or contract but received no response. After a week, I called the firm and specifically asked to speak with Kevin or Rebecca Seibert to address my concerns. Instead, Adam returned my call, stating he hadn’t received my email and offering little clarity. I again requested to speak with Kevin or Rebecca and ended the call. Shortly after, Adam called back, stating Kevin was available. When I explained my concerns to Kevin, his response seemed more focused on justifying the situation than addressing the issue directly. The firm’s website advertises "free consultations," yet my initial meeting cost $275 and provided limited advice. Receiving a payment request without a formal agreement was both unexpected and unprofessional. Comments such as being told I "live in a red state" and that I "rub people the wrong way" for standing up for my rights felt inappropriate and irrelevant to my case. While I cannot speak for others' experiences, I personally did not find the level of professionalism or transparency I expected from Seibert Law Firm or Adam Owensby. My recommendation: In my experience, the firm did not demonstrate a genuine commitment to client needs. If you're considering Adam Owensby or Seibert Law Firm, I strongly advise clarifying their policies and practices upfront.

This firm was great when I needed them. No one plans to get divorced and it's been 4 years now. I still appreciate the communication and ability to answer my questions in a pretty quick manner. They seemed to advocate for me but also were realistic with me and my needs. So I appreciate them for everything during a very difficult time.

Look, any dynamic with an attorney during a high stress situation is likely to create some tense moments and maybe bring out the worst at times. It’s likely one of the most stressful times of your life when you’re seeking an attorney. Seibert and his team may not be a good fit for you, but we managed to work together through some difficulties and ended up w a result that worked for everyone. Take advantage of the consultation to speak with several attorneys before deciding who would work best with your values and ethics to achieve your goal. And also accept that you may not get exactly what you want so it’s nice to have pre determined “must haves” and “can do without’s” to negotiate with. Finally, be direct and respectful with what you desire as an outcome and don’t be afraid to argue, respectfully, when needed. Sometimes attorney’s forget that their career directly impacts our day-to-day livelihoods. I appreciate the service I received, but no experience with an attorney has been pleasant for me due to the circumstances for which they’re needed. Thanks for all your help.
