I first contacted David in the summer of 2017 when my wife had a job opportunity out of state and my children wanted to move with us. He was upfront and honest about the challenges and developed a way forward that balanced my desire to maintain an amicable relationship with the children’s mother and still allow us to move and take advantage of the many opportunities for the kids. Within several weeks of retaining David, he negotiated a temporary custody agreement that allowed me to move with my children and start a new life. I could not have asked for a more supportive and understanding lawyer to represent me. At every stage of the negotiation, David replied to my many inquiries and stressed out calls in a timely manner, re-assuring me that the best interest of the children were always foremost in our negotiation. There were many complicated issues with the move and opposing counsel but David was able to handle each challenge very skillfully. A year later, the children are thriving in our new home both in school and extracurricular activities. David negotiated the final custody and support agreement as the school year wound down only to face numerous challenges including working with the courts to serve notices, guiding me through a difficult mediation, and ultimately negotiating a settlement without having to take the issue to a full trial. Giving thinks. About 2 1/2 years ago. My family and I met and became acquainted with David W Martin. It was at the law firm of Mckinny,Tucker and Lemel. We were in need of custody legal guidence.
