Steve Sumner was there to help me when my teen age daughter got a speeding ticket. He was quick to help my family and resolve our problem. I would recommend him highly to anyone.

After several referrals(one from a cop friend) I called in on a Sunday not expecting a return call till Monday. I was called in less than ten minutes and was immediately starting to feel relaxed and more at ease. I set up to come in the following day and the experience just got better. Never having dealt with a law firm I was scared to death. No need. From the time I got off the elevator through a very relaxed intake process I knew I had made the right choice. Through the process I was informed when I needed to be but not overwhelmed. And when it came court time man were they prepared. Steve was at home in the courtroom and very relaxed and seemed very well liked by all the staff even the cop who arrested me which I hoped was a good thing. After he spent an hour or more doing legal arguments with the other side he brought me great news and I was not convicted. The whole process was over a year long a tense but it was a first class ride all the way and I cannot thank Steve and his team enough. Truly in a league of there own!

Steve Sumner Law Firm is one of the most respected criminal defense lawyers in the Upstate. I have known him for several years and recommended his law firm a number of times. In addition, he has taught classes to other attorneys regarding criminal law and the defense practice. People listen to Steve. Good people doing really good work.

As a former police officer, and DUI officer, I normally don't write reviews for defense attorneys due to our adversarial relationship. But, I have been involved in several cases with the Sumner Law Firm and have to applaud the professionalism, knowledge, courtesy, and ethics displayed by Steve and his staff. I've had the distinct pleasure to work with Steve's staff investigator, Scotty Roberson ,and I'm truly impressed with his knowledge and skills in the DUI field. I've been teaching DUI classes for many years and have not seen this level of expertise anywhere. I can not say enough about Steve Sumner and his team. Obviously (since I retained his services) I was not going through a positive experience, but Steve was just excellent in his demeanor, expertise, and interaction. Him and his team worked extremely hard and did a great job for me which lead to me being found not guilty. After much research for a DUI attorney, I retained Steve Sumner to represent me on a recent DUI charge. Primarily defending DUI cases, Steve has many years of successful DUI litigation experience.
