We had a great experience with the LawyerLisa team. Our recent home purchase was complicated, and they navigated with ease and were extremely responsive along the way. It’s not everyday you hug the entire closing attorney team at the closing (before social distancing)!

It is indeed a pleasure to write a review of Lawyer Lisa, whom I trust and who has been extremely professional and consistently demonstrated the highest level of integrity relevant to developing a Will and Estate Planning for two individuals close to my heart. Lisa has without failure kept me apprised of the various steps involved to bring closure to the services rendered by her and her staff.
Lawyer Lisa was referred to me by a very prominent attorney who spoke very highly of her knowledge relevant to creating wills, Estate Planning, Real Estate and more. I was very moved that my initial attorney recognized his limitations on what my needs were and recommended Lisa's firm.
Though the individuals she initially represented died within weeks of each other, needless-to-say, during the bereavement process Lisa and her staff showed compassion and acknowledged that they will continue to be supportive of me until closure of all the required legalities.
I would without giving a second thought to anyone who is seeking a Lawyer regarding having a will written, estate planning, real estate, etc., with an attorney who puts the needs of the client in the forefront of all she does, contact Lawyer Lisa. As a matter of fact I recommended Lisa to a dear friend who has expressed satisfaction with the services being provided by Lisa and her firm.
It is with deep appreciation that I say thank you to Lisa and her team for services rendered.

Sept 13, 2018: I am editing the review I posted August 30, 2018 following contact from LawyerLisa.
I repeatedly requested invoices months ago, having not received one since April 5th. I waited and then gave up.
Sept 11, LawyerLisa sent me an invoice so I could finally see how my retainer was spent over April, May and June and how much is left. This somewhat alleviates one aspect of my negative impression of LawyerLisa. I am editing my review so it continues to reflect my overall experience; comments which previously referred to non-provision of invoices after April 5th, now refer to the invoice provided Sept 11.
Edited text is enclosed in brackets and prefaced by “edit”.
_______
I am a UK resident with family in South Carolina. I was asked to sign a release relating to the termination of a South Carolina-based trust. I asked LawyerLisa to review the document so I could sign with peace of mind.
I thought it would be straightforward to review a three-page document. I thought any attorney at the top of their game could quickly knock this out of the park. Sadly, LawyerLisa accomplished the opposite of this.
In my experience, LawyerLisa were unprofessional and careless.
Most egregiously, they failed to provide monthly invoices. (edit Sept 13, 2018: I received one invoice April 5th, and the second and final invoice on Sept 11th. The majority of work was done in April, so to not receive an invoice until September is hardly satisfactory. It is preferable, however, to not receiving an invoice at all and being left to wonder why.)
_______
We started off on the wrong foot: they asked me to sign an engagement letter which included the name of a complete stranger.
I saw this as silly rather than alarming so I signed the corrected letter and paid the $1000 retainer March 8th. Big mistake.
Note that the letter was to be signed by both parties - to my knowledge LawyerLisa never signed it. I certainly didn't receive a copy.
They estimated the review would be complete by "the middle of next week", and then went silent for three weeks.
They said the review was complete, then went silent for another three weeks.
I chased them, as two months had passed since we first made contact with LawyerLisa.
They said it had been "hard to find the time to write everything out in email".
Finally, they sent the review April 27th. The content was what I hoped to hear: no complications, terms are normal etc... It took them SIX WEEKS to provide this review.
_______
The delay was a problem because of LawyerLisa's lack of communication. They could have told me that it was going to take longer than expected. They could have provided updates on their progress instead of going silent. Simple courtesy would have made the client feel valued rather than taken for granted.
How not to manage a clients expectations: they sent the review two days after saying they'll "make sure to get it done today". Why not just say "by the end of the week"?
_______
Unprompted, they then advised I had the option to "not the agreement as well". It took them one week to clarify this nonsensical suggestion.
(edit Sept 13, 2018: The invoice I received Sept 11 indicates this extra slice of legal advice cost $39 for the suggestion, and another $39 for the clarification.)
They sent one invoice April 5th (36 minutes worked in March). In June, they said "we should be able to produce an invoice soon". (edit Sept 13, 2018: I didn’t hear from them again until Sept 11, 2018)
(edit Sept 13, 2018: They finally provided a second invoice covering April to June including an extra charge for March not included in the first invoice. This is better than nothing, but much less satisfactory than the terms laid out in their own engagement letter: "While the case is pending, you will receive an itemized statement each month listing the services rendered and costs and expenses incurred in this matter.”)

Lisa and her team have been so helpful with getting our wills and estate planning set up. It is so relieving to know that if anything happened to my husband or myself, our son will be careful for exactly as we would want.

As for their service (deed preparation), I gave them three stars out of five; as for their product (deed and affidavit), I’m without basis for rating. I found them to be timely with responding and pricey for their service. My experience follows. After I provided the information they requested, they scheduled an appointment with their attorney. The earliest appointment was in ten business days (9 March 2018). I said okay and later considered 1st) their rate for deed preparation had risen from two hundred dollars to three hundred dollars, 2nd) after providing the information they requested, they requested I enter a legal service agreement, and 3rd) I had two weeks before an appointment. I researched and contacted other attorneys. I found another attorney, cancelled with LawyerLisa, and on 7 March 2018, the other attorney had finalized a product (deed and affidavit) for me. The other attorney charged two hundred dollars for their service and the resulting product; and they gave me a fifty dollar discount since I provided the current deed. The other attorney was without request for a legal service agreement to prepare a deed. And, in less than ten business days, the other attorney had produced a product. To conclude! The pros! Given my research, I liked what I read about their firm i.e. LawyerLisa. I liked that they were responsive. The cons! I disliked their rate for deed preparation i.e. compared to other attorneys. I disliked how long it took to get an appointment. I disliked the “legal service agreement” they required simply for “deed preparation”. For a matter other than deed preparation, I’d again consider LawyerLisa.

I own a property in Columbia, SC that I purchased through a tax lien sale that I have been trying to sell since 2012 (4 + years). I completed a quit title law suit to change the title from a tax deed to a fee simple deed (Process to rightfully take ownership of the property).
I finally located a willing and able buyer to purchase the property and I needed an attorney to meet with the buyer to sign the purchase agreement because I live in Phoenix. I hired LawyerLisa, LLC to facilitate the sale.
Prior to Pamela Price meeting with our buyer I emailed her an explanation of how we acquired the property through a tax deed and how we received a court order from a judge stating we have fee simple title to the property. Pamela met with our buyer without reading this email and the court order and advised him that if he buys our property the owner who did not pay their taxes could tell him to get off the property if a quit title lawsuit isn't completed. This put fear in our buyers mind and he later decided not to purchase our property. The buyer stated he had a cashier's check in his hand at the time for half the purchase price. Due to the lawyers at LawyerLisa, LLC I was not able to sell our property and if not sold by the end of this year I will lose it because I can't afford to pay the property taxes anymore.
I would advise anyone and everyone to avoid hiring this law firm for any matters because they will not represent your best interest and they will not read important documents that could dramatically change the outcome of your transaction or legal proceeding. Stay clear of this company!

I use LawyerLisa for my real estate transactions and she also drafted my Will, Power of Attorney and Trust documents. Everything was done right and done quickly and I didn't get stuck with a "big law firm" sized bill, although her legal work product rivals all the "big fancy law firm" work I've seen. As a fellow attorney, I respect the amount of work that goes into a real estate closing or trust & estates work and I admire that Lisa can get the work done more quickly and for much less than others - and stay on top of the latest changes in the law, while still maintaining top-notch quality work.
I have referred her to my family, friends and colleagues and would do it again and again. She's a knowledgeable one-stop shop for building and protecting your wealth and giving you the confidence of knowing your affairs are in order and your loved ones will be protected when you're gone.

Lisa Hostetler, until this day and after our initial correspondence, has not returned my emails or responded, with an email, even after my many attempts at contacting her to see if she could assist me with my situation. If she could not assist me then she could simply just have told me that. I am currently stationed overseas and I spent my time and money staying up late hours trying to contact her from an international location. However, her staff personnel, which whom I had the pleasure of speaking to on several occasions, were really nice.
