The purchase of a condo on the beach was a lifetime thrill. Scott and his team were throughly professional and incredibly courteous throughout the closing process. They kept us informed on our obligations and the status of the activities. I was completely impressed and would not hesitate to use them again in support of any property transaction in the Myrtle Beach area.

Overall everything was done very professionally and efficiently. The one exception would be to expect a client to sit and wait 20 minutes while the closing attorney walks his dog which, apparently stays in the conference room used for closing. A person with allergies would have even more problems.

Everyone at Scott B. Umstead office has been wonderful. They were right there every step of the way, keeping me informed and up to date. They promptly answered questions and concerns, we’re always a phone call or email away! The office was so accommodating with closing changes and made the entire process very smooth!

The services provided to my family for two real estate transactions could not have been more top notch and thorough. Mr. Umstead, and especially, Jenn Roach, went the extra mile, among the whole office's truly caring teamwork, in ushering through our matters from start to finish. Mr. Umstead even did some homework for us regarding our new locale, by coaching us on steps to take in obtaining documentation for new driver's licenses, auto registrations, primary residence property tax rates, and the like. His being a fellow Beatles fan -- with a just-published Paul McCartney photo memoir book -- and having a basket of candy, on tables in the lobby, were other perks of making our whole experiences of walking through legal matters easy to understand in completely comfortable fashion.

It was a pleasure working with Scott's office from start to finish. They were extremely organized and very receptive. I initially had no idea what went into the process of purchasing a home and the legal documentation that came along with it. But when they shared with me info docs they had thoughtfully created to help educate clients on what to expect, they prepared me and put my mind at ease. Scott is a very intelligent person and has an amazing supporting staff that were welcoming and helpful throughout. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, they were fantastic.
