Let me start off by saying, I have never given reviews for items I purchased or people who have done work for me, especially for Attorneys whom most people feel (including me) are blood sucking, money hungry and arrogant; however, I feel it is necessary in this instance. I hired Barrett to handle a contempt case on my ex-wife, which to no avail, I tried numerous times to handle on my own. Since Barrett handled my initial divorce, some 8+ years earlier, I called him up. From the start, I remembered Barrett as being professional and very knowledgeable of the law. And what can I say...he was just that and more. Throughout our communications, I never doubted his ability in winning my case and he never faulted in proving my case. Barrett is a leader in his profession and his assistant Miranda is top notch. I would highly recommend Barrett to handle your case and do so without hesitation!

I would highly recommend Barrett Martin to anyone looking for a family attorney. Our situation was a little different. We were the paternal grandparents seeking custody of our granddaughter. Barrett was honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy and most important he was straight forward with us throughout the process. He advised of obstacles we may face and how we would need to proceed if faced with those obstacles. He and his paralegal, Miranda, were always available to answer all our questions. We are thankful for him in helping us receive full custody of our granddaughter.

I highly recommend Barrett. He gives his all to his clients and his paralegal Miranda does the same. They are very business like and extremely knowledgeable. I do not have a single complaint and have recommended him to many of my friends. I’m so grateful he represented me through my divorce. I’d give him a million stars if I could.

The worst possibly scenario!! I’ve had custody over my son for 3 out of his 5 years and needed Barrett to finalize everything through trial. As we approached the year mark a expedited hearing was filed against us and the trial needed to be scheduled and Barrett changes the financial agreement on me. Of course this part of the agreement was verbal so I couldn’t do anything. But due to his actions I wasn’t able to continue affording him, went into a hearing without representation and LOST EVERYTHING I’ve gained over the last 5 years. I never would’ve dreamt a high school friend would put myself and my son in such a horrible place. If you have questions he has knowledge but you better remember this is only a business to this guy. If you expect a heart or conscious go elsewhere.

I’ve used the services of Barrett W. Martin on two occasions. Barrett and Miranda did an excellent job explaining the different options available and the possible outcomes. During the mediation process I always felt he was better prepared than the opposing attorney and confident he would fight to represent me in my best interest. I will definitely have him represent me in the future if needed. I highly recommend him to anyone else.

Barrett Martin went above and beyond for my divorce that should have been simple but turned into a nightmare. When I was ready to give up he fought even harder for me. Barrett handled my divorce and custody issues with professionalism, courtesy and respect for my time and money. When my ex didn’t comply with the mediation agreement a year later, I enlisted Barrett to handle this issue as well. I had successful outcomes both times I have had to take an issue to York County Family Court. I used Barrett to help me get more custody with my kids when my 1st lawyer couldn't. He was able to get me 50-50 custody. I couldn't have been more pleased with the out come of the case and his court demeanor. Would and have recommend him to several people.
