I had someone call for a Dana Davis (not my name) and the woman on the phone proceeded to ask what was going on, I explained, and she basically said “Welp! Nothing we can do! They did nothing wrong!” First of all, I wasn’t done talking and she clearly wasn’t listening: a local fast food restaurant blended up a car key into my drink and I drank it. What do you mean “ask for a coupon since there were no damages???” It’s not normal for a company to include car keys into a beverage, the manager of the company claimed he knew beforehand, I drank the drink unknowingly, the company tried to give me ANOTHER DRINK with the SAME KEY, and I’m supposed to ask for a coupon? I get it if they can’t do anything, but it was disrespectful of the woman calling to disregard my situation. She could’ve at least pretended to have cared. Instead, she said that not only could their office not do anything, but no one could because “I’m sure that there’s been worse things in those drinks than a car key.” She refused to offer up anyone else as a referral. I was only asking because I’ve never sued someone on my own and thought maybe she could recommend another attorney. I wasn’t treated with any respect or empathy during the entire three minutes of that phone call. Even if they had been able to do anything, I wouldn’t have become a client due to the utter lack of professionalism.
