Listen, I don't write reviews. I feel most people will write their reviews based of whether or not their lawyer won their case. And although Bill Fortino did win my case, I feel my review would still be true if he had not. When researching who they want to hire, most people want to know "Will my lawyer win my case?" and "How much is this going to cost me?" Bill took my case for A LOT less than what others quoted me -- so much so, that it was a red flag at first. I thought he might be of "lesser quality." Quite the contrary. Bill was not only very professional, but he was also well informed of South Carolina law. He also didn't nickel and dime me for every little thing like some of the stories I've heard about other law firms. He was transparent about what my case would cost and there were never any surprise fees, even when the other party and their law firm made things difficult and stretched things out. I also appreciated the ease of access that I had with Bill. If I ever had any questions, no matter how small, I had them answered, directly from him, usually within 24 hours. I'm the type of person that thinks worst case scenario. In hindsight, I probably had some questions and worries that were irrational. I don't know what the equivalent would be for a lawyer's "bed side manners," but I never felt ridiculous talking with Bill. He was very professional. Even after my case was finalized, and a final order received, I still had some problems with the other party. Bill was quick to get these resolved and didn't charge extra or make me feel like a burden. Hopefully I'll never have to, but if I ever need a lawyer again, I will totally hire Bill again for representation without question!
