Jennifer and her staff have been excellent. Prompt service and response. She helped me with my divorce at a significantly lower rate than other firm retainers. She made the painful process as easy as it could have been. I knew she had my best interest at heart for dealing with such a horrible subject. I highly recommend her and her team.

I came upon this firm during a very difficult time for our family. Specifically, Teree Nesvold. We have a special needs child and things had escalated to a very serious level, where police were involved, children services, court dates, investigations... a very traumatic, stressful, scary time for our entire family. Teree took our case, walked us through every step and actually CARED about all the members of our family. This happened during Covid19 and she even had to do some work with the court telephonically. Everything about our case was foreign and overwhelming to us, but Teree was very familiar with this system and exuded confidence and a positive attitude the entire time. She answered every question I had and took every phone call I made. This was priceless and speaking of priceless, she even allowed us to make payments to her, for several months after our case was settled and closed. Her fee was very reasonable, we are just an average family that had a very complicated case and financial hardship from it. She really worked with us! Everything about her is genuine and she authentically cared for me, as a mother and as a person. She believed in me and saw our family through a very dark hour. She won a best possible outcome for us and proved her skill in Law. If anyone in Brookings, SD needs an Atty, Teree Nesvold should be your first call. In fact, you should reach out to her and meet her, before you ever even need her. After my experience with the court system, I never want to be without an atty and Teree will always be the Atty for our family.

Do not trust Teree! I was told my legal fees should be around around X amount for my case and they were three times as much as that amount. Claims she doesn’t quote people but when I paid my retainer fee she told me that should cover my cost for the case and possibly get money back. Received bill that I owe twice as much as my retainer fee. Would highly suggest staying away and very disappointed in her. No experience with anyone else in this firm.

I really enjoyed working with this law firm. Very professional, responsive and would definitely recommend them.

*Do not ever use this law service* Communication with them was absolutely terrible. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of anyone or get any relevant information out of any of their staff. In my contract, they said that they would call me back within 24 hours of me contacting them and they would take 2+ weeks to get back to me... shameful. Also, I was charged more than twice as much as what the lawyer initially said. Yes, technically, they did their job with getting me out of legal trouble; but that did not come without a huge number of issues. I hired this firm for assistance with a misdemeanor case. If you are facing prison time or felony charges especially, avoid working with this firm at all costs.

***would not recommend.*** Less than 5 minutes. charged hundreds. said I was SOL. Called Sioux Falls lawyer. Drove up on court date. 5 minutes in front of judge. Case closed in my favor. Moral of the story; this was a very simple case and this law firm tries to manipulate and turn it around on the one they’re suppose to be helping(you). -then will charge a crazy fee. Which I’d be okay with if they would just try. ***would not recommend.***
