If you need caring and empathetic people who know what they’re doing and will fight for you then look no further. Divorce is hard, but they really helped make it smoother. Also it’s nice cause it’s a relatively small firm. So you know they’re looking out for you.

Hired Amelia to take my case and then midway through my bankruptcy transferred all my information over to another bankruptcy firm and they draging their feet and I feel like she should a finished my case up before transferring everything because I paid her nearly $4,000 to handle my case just for her to hand my case over to another less qualified firm

If you are not 100% certain that you have a solid case, or that you have documentation from doctors, witnesses, other parties, etc. already in-hand, do not call a lawyer yet. Some lawyers will use tactics to scare you into paying a retainer. Once that retainer is paid (whether you sign a document or not for long-time services) is theirs to bill at their discretion. If you want to know if your case has wheels, contact a lawyer that offers a free consultation first. I just made a three-day, $2,000 error in judgement that I cannot contest. It was money that I desperately needed and could have saved had I shopped around first.
