I hired this law group after three consultations with other attorneys. I had other law groups telling me I could get more making false promises, but when I told them I did not want more they didnt like that. I have no hate in my heart and she deserves half. Again they didn’t like that. They told me I had to do it there way. So I kept looking. I walked into the door to this Law Firm and immediately had the feeling that made me feel safe. A feeling I haven’t had in years. I remember when I told one of the attorneys here that I wanted it fair and that she deserves what she wants. She looked at me and said you’re my kind of client. She told me how people come in and ask for things that are unreasonable. And that they probably won’t get it. I knew right then. I laid my money down right then. I don’t have a lot of money. They were very reasonable as far as their fees, but you cannot put a price on the aura in that room when you walk in and when you leave.. i’m living in an RV right now while my dogs are at the house. No water in there bowl. Obviously loosing weight. I cried every time I went back to check on them. To the wife it’s all about the assets and the money. All I care about is my dogs. When she threatened to take them to the pound. I cried again. I woke up this morning and decided I will have a beard down to my feet before I quit. All I want is a place for me and my dogs,. Go sit in this room for a consultation and you’ll see. It’s an all female law group and I’m telling you right now. Someone said it to me yesterday. Girls rock. This is my baby girl. Her name is Bristol. I miss my pugs. They don’t deserve all this. I hooked her up for when the wife starts yelling. My attorneys make me feel safe. My baby deserves the same. Thank y’all very much.

Great service and atmosphere for your legal decisions!!!!

I used Jennifer for my divorce, which included two young kids, and she was amazing! As others have mentioned, the empathy with which she interacted made the terrible situation bearable. Also, her knowledge of narcissism and how it plays out in the divorce process made me feel at peace that she was defending me. I would continue to recommend her to anyone who needs a good lawyer in the unfortunate event of divorce.

I waiting a long time before posting this review; this is absolutely the WORST law firm I have ever come in contact with. These people have legitimately ruined my entire life. I have a review on my page about a lawyer and her disregard for abuse in my marriage and not refunding an incorrect charge? But I would have paid them over Burton-McKinnish. The ONLY reason I went with them is because they accepted a partial retainer amount from me. I maxed out my credit cards to get out my marriage only for these people to make my situation WORSE. I didn’t ask for anything, but they insisted on the “deadbeat dad” plan, and stated that if he didn’t “pay” me (after showing the lawyers and mediator that he wouldn’t) so I wouldn’t “shoot myself in the foot”. The only thing I asked for was to be his ex wife, and for him to get his kids, which he was not doing. Be careful because they might retaliate against you should you write them a negative review with the Better Business Bureau, or gossip about you with other attorneys in the area. These people didn’t go to bat for me AT ALL. They actually threw me under the bus when it came time to represent me. They advised me to call the police when my ex husband would show up and when he lied to the police, knowing that they LIED to him in mediation and he attacked me? They posted about it on a public forum. I would never trust these people with my life again after pouring EVERYTHING out to them. A bunch of childish, petty women who only care about themselves. Very passive. I would have stayed and got my a*s whooped every day had I known I’d end up in the situation I’m in today. I should have known something was up when Tegan mention her professor in school wouldn’t allow her to represent him after finding out it was her blindly, or when she discussed confidentiality agreements of other clients with me, but that’s neither here nor there. You live and you learn. I pray to God that these people reap what they sowed; clearly defending a black woman wasn’t good for their image. Thanks a lot, Burton-Mckinnnish for stealing my money and not delivering the results I asked for, let alone completing the job at hand. ***update*** Called two weeks ago, as requested and you all see as the business responded. No one has called me back. This is typical of this law office.

Horrible communication and service period. I missed out on 2 years of backpay on my disability case because they didn't communicate with me. Don't hire these people.
