I have used Ms. Hoffman back in the mid 1990's to handle my former wife and I's mediation. We chose to go this route of mediation and I am truly glad I did. Whenever there is a family break-up, anything can happen. Ms. Hoffman was fair to both parties and was able to move us to giving and taking that resulted in a very good ending. She is very good at what she does, and I recommend her completely. Looking back now with my kids both over 21, I can see how her guidance kept me and my former wife actively involved in my boy's lives. As the Dad, I did not want to lose my relationship with my boys, and per the agreement we settled on, I was able to stay here close to them and keep a strong relationship with them. I would be pleased to recommend her. In addition, when I see her anywhere, she is always so friendly and I really appreciate that too. She is a very caring person and that means a lot to me. Went to get advice for possible divorce.
The first 10 minutes was about how
busy she was. Instead of giving advice
on how to get prepared and what to expect,
She asked questions about my finances.
I didn't know exact amounts or have
names for. She asked where have I been?
Then told me it sounded as
If I was jealous of my husband having money.
(have been a stay at home mom for the last
15 yrs. When my son became sick and almost
died, my husband and I decided I would quit
My job of 10 yrs to stay home with him)
I walked out of there feeling worse...
Have talked with another lawyer and
have seen how consults should be.

Lee Ann was knowledgeable of the changing custody law of 2001. She won't stand for verbal bashing, so if this is your first divorce, remember that you are hiring a lawyer, not a buddy. She is not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and I left the courtroom with a feeling that she got me about as fair a shake that a Father can get in Tennessee. Give her a call.
