Back on June 24th, 2023, I was cruising on my motorcycle, minding my own business, when out of the blue, this lady popped up out of nowhere and t-boned me going at least 50 mph and speeding! It sent me flying off my bike like something out of an action movie, easily 20-30 feet away. I ended up with some battle scars - four broken bones, my collarbone, and a few ribs. My collarbone still gives me some grief, but I'm hanging in there. The next day, I decided to give Ponce Law a call. Spoke to Nina, and she got the ball rolling. David Wyatt even swung by my place to check on me and get me signed up. I gotta give a shout-out to Cheyenne and Brian. They did their thing, no doubt. The lady who hit me had no insurance and a laundry list of citations from our accident. Now, why'd I pick Ponce Law, you ask? Simple – I'm a fan of that show with Paul Sr. from Orange County Choppers. He's in one of their commercials, giving his stamp of approval., I love that show, and I trust Paul Sr.'s word and boy was he right! All in all, I had a pretty good experience with these folks. They held it down and got me through some rough times, so I'm giving them a thumbs up. If you ever find yourself in a pickle, these are the guys to call. Peace!

I have dealt with many law firms and attorneys and staff over my lifetime related to my personal life and my past employment, but I have to say that Leah Yoder and Jennie Williams with Ponce Law firm were absolutely amazing. If I had a question about anything no matter how minuscule it was they were always glad to answer it. If I had to call either of them any time of the day, if I could not reach them right away, they called me back very quickly. They both explained the processes of my case and what to expect. Their professionalism and compassion for me and my situation was both professional and personal. I would not hesitate for a moment to call on them and Ponce law. Thanks to both of you Leah and Jennie as well as Ponce Law.

Our experience with Ponce Law has been exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better team to guide us through a challenging time in our lives. Brian my attorney and Savannah my Paralegal, treated us like family, providing unwavering support and expert guidance. Our ordeal began as we were driving eastbound on Old Clarksville Pike in Cheatham County. A car traveling westbound waited for us to proceed through the intersection. However, a tragic turn of events unfolded as another car, approaching from behind the stationary eastbound vehicle, clipped it and then collided head-on with our car. Our situation took a discouraging turn when Farm Bureau informed us that they wouldn't be able to provide the assistance we needed and that we should seek legal counsel. That's when we decided to turn to Ponce Law. We were introduced to them by our physician, who was treating us for our auto accident injuries. She had heard of others who had successful outcomes with Ponce Law and strongly recommended that we reach out to them. Choosing Ponce Law was a true blessing, and we thank God for leading us to the right lawyer who knew exactly what to do. Brian and Savannah, along with the entire Ponce Law team, demonstrated their expertise, dedication, and genuine care for our well-being. We wholeheartedly recommend Ponce Law to anyone in need of legal assistance during challenging times. They are the support you can trust to help you navigate through difficult situations.

If I could give 10 stars I would mr Bowden and Jennifer has been so so helpful in my case to date. Lady ran a red light hit me from behind. Left scene , was driving on suspended license , I have been in so much pain over this!, lost so much in income !, but Tim and his firm has worked tirelessly on my case to date, staying in the loop with doctors, providers , ect..he stays in touch with me to give updates and I'm very confident he will make sure this is a good outcome for me and my wife. Great lawyer with great staff. I've hired Tim for family members and the results were great . He is a true and knowledgeable professional. Staff are humble and always answer the phone, answer your questions. You don't have to wonder if your case is even been worked on, like I've experienced with previous lawyers.

Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. Who will be handling my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Goodlettsville, Tennessee?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
