John Wood is extremely personable, thorough and organized and displays a deep mastery of the complexity of navigating the patent process. He gets me to describe my vision of where my project is going and listens to that description, tailoring his approach to the task of getting where I need to be. He also communicates well and often about the status of the work, which is very reassuring for a client like me. I am extremely satisfied with Wood Patent Law and feel that the intellectual property that underlies my medical device will be very well-protected through John’s efforts.

I’m hoping to get Lorain Ganger to represent my granddaughter she’s in some mess I’ve personally used Mr.Spurrell and he did a great job for me so I’m hoping and praying she will Represent her because I have more faith in this law from then any other in the Eastern Tennessee area..

This is not your average law firm! From the moment I made the first call to set up a consultation, every person I had contact with made me feel like I was priority one! 30 minutes from my initial call I was in their office and I was greeted by quite possibly the nicest secretary I have ever dealt with. I went straight into a room where not only was I expected but was met with a plan of defense immediately! They stayed in constant contact with me and awnsered any questions I had. Best part is the availability of constant support because not only could I call or visit the office, they made sure I had a direct number to reach Don and his team whenever needed. There's just not enough words for the way that Grace has absolutely changed my life. She represented me for two years through a complicated, exhausting and sometimes terrifying custody battle with my ex husband. The safety of myself and my kids was always her first priority. She has a level head and was consistently transparent about what expectations were realistic, but was also not afraid to think outside of the box to find ways to reach my goals. I’m very sad for my mother , she is a 76 year old woman who lost her husband of 30 years on Jan.23rd 2019 . A few months later In May of 2019 my mother hired Don Spurrell to help her collect my step fathers retirement. I was with her on this day . He took the case and made my mom feel like he cared . Before we left his office he told my mother to trust him . She trusted him for 3 years . During this time my mom would call for updates and no one ever wanted to take her call . His receptionist was very kind but unfortunately we hired Don instead of her . My mother would make appointments with him and she would show up and his receptionist would tell my mom he already left for the day . He would never call her to reschedule . She would call him ever so often to get updates . He was never available and would never return her calls. She has just been in the dark for 3 years but excepted it because she trusted this lawyer . She finally after 3 years received some paperwork from my stepfathers company about the retirement and she decided she should take all this paperwork to his office . This was on Thursday August 9th 2022. I was with her . When she went inside we where greeted by his daughter Grace . Grace asked my mom for the paperwork and she would give it to Don because as usual Don was not available.my mother is old and can come off as being rude sometimes because she speaks loud . But my Mother told her No I am not Leaving this paperwork because I’m going to a financial advisor . We turned to leave and as we got into the car my Mother gets a phone call from Don , he tells her and I quote “ please do not ever talk to my daughter again , and please do not come back into this office . I do not represent you “ . Now if he wanted to drop this case that is his rights but notifying the client is probably a good idea. My Mother has been setting for 3 years thinking she had representation. This broke my heart for her because she felt defeated ! He asked her to trust him on that first day and she did whole heartedly . And he broke this trust in the most immoral way . I do not recommend this man not just for the way he spoke to my elderly mother but because the lack of communication , the amount of time that went by and the lack of empathy . YES lawyers have to have some kind of empathy - especially for those who put their entire lives in their hands . I’m so disappointed and I will be taking my Mother to speak with an attorney on Monday to see what she needs to do . This has been a very stressful 3 years !
