James (Jim) London stands today as a living legend, with over 40 years as a servant of the people. He follows in the footsteps of one of the greatest cardiac surgeons and philanthropic men in Tennessee history "Dr. London". I personally was witness to Jim's early mind set and his untiring work ethic.
In the winter of 71', my roommate left without paying the rent and put a pad lock on his room, broke myself with Christmas coming I took off the lock and held hostage his "stuff" till he paid the rent, he called the police and they arrested me. Jim, then a law student, was the first person I saw while being held. Jim told me not to worry, he would handle it. Jim told me that it was a wrongful arrest, that the charges would be dropped. I even had the right to sue the police. That same day at the arraignment the public defender and Judge agreed with Jim. The charges were dropped that day.
At 20 years old I had a lot to learn, Jim London was a steady and level headed UT law student. Early in his life he moved with an air of confidence seldom seen in men. Ten years later, with a B.B.A. from UT, I crossed paths with the FBI on a friendly "security issue" and the arrest came up. I called Jim London (a then practicing Attorney) and he had the entire file expunged forever within 48 hrs. We were all impressed.
I owe James (Jim) London a lot...I'm now 61 years old and the advent of the internet offers me this opportunity to express a small token of gratitude. I can only imagine the talent and experience he has acquired these past 40 years.
Now with an small army of Attorneys at his side he has earned the nick-name "Rain-Maker" with his peers.
I'm now a Hedge Fund consultant with an in-house former FBI agent as my attorney. But I'd hire Jim in a New York second, knowing he would directly oversee the case and be actively involved.
Thanks Jim
