Held Law Firm was amazing in representing me in my divorce. Melanie handled my case and was very thorough in the details. I was very anxious and scared about the process, but she was very kind and helpful. She was always available to answer my questions no matter how small they were. She negotiated very well on my behalf of the custody plan with my child and on my behalf of the divorce settlement. Melanie even kept in touch with me after my divorce was final to make sure my settlement was awarded correctly. I highly recommend Held Law Firm.

We were referred over to Held Law firm for a custody battle for my daughter and her little one. Without hesitation Celsey took us on and represented us to the fullest extent. It was a lengthy 5 month process but in the end we were pleased with the outcome. My daughter received everything she was asking for with the parenting plan put into place. I see alot of reviews going on about the "Prices" and how expensive it is. However, with any law firm and having to hire a lawyer, you are without a doubt looking at spending a nice chunk of change. But the way our family looked at the whole ordeal, it was totally worth it. We would refer Held Law Firm over to anyone. Thank you Celsey and Held Law Firm for representing our family!

In the realm of legal representation, particularly in sensitive areas such as divorce and custody, clients seek an attorney who is as invested in their case as they are in the practice of law. However, not all attorneys meet these expectations, as evidenced by experiences I have had with Ms. Held. Ms. Held specializes in divorce custody law, a field that requires not just legal expertise but also significant compassion and understanding due to the personal and emotional nature of the cases. Unfortunately, Ms. Held's practice tends to emphasize financial aspects over client welfare. Ms. Held is quick to secure retainer payments and billable hours, sometimes focusing more on "office finances" rather than the intricacies and successful outcomes of the cases involved. Ms. Held is one of those attorneys who truly cares more about the money than the case at hand. She will collect the retainer, send you bills on file review and in-office things, and when the retainer is spent and if you can't get her another payment fast, she will withdraw from your case immediately and handicap you. Terrible attorney. Stay away. The approach taken in handling cases, as observed by me with Ms. Held, appears transactional at best. The emphasis seems to lie heavily on securing payments rather than on the quality of representation or the attention given to the nuances of my case. I felt abandoned after the initial retainer was exhausted, leading to disrupted case representation and a scramble to find alternative counsel. In conclusion, while financial viability is essential for any practice, legal professionals like Ms. Held must remember that at the heart of the law is the duty to serve and represent clients with integrity and dedication. Implementing these suggestions could reshape any misaligned perceptions and build a practice that is as reputable in its client care as it is in its legal advocacy.

Our representative for our grandchild has been so helpful. She is ready to help with anything he needed. If we have questions, she had answers. They cared about the kids they represent. I personally glad we had his person who could speak for him.

As you do when you find yourself in need of an attorney, we were in a very unsafe & unfamiliar situation regarding our children & realized we needed help. It was incredibly short notice, but all of the office staff got us set up & assigned to an attorney, Celsy Johnson. We met in person for the first time immediately prior to court & I knew we were in good hands. She is incredibly knowledgeable & kind (to her clients anyway - I wouldn’t want to be on the other end when she throws down the gauntlet). Even when she was unsure of how to proceed - she worked tirelessly to find case law to back up her suspicions & to make sure our case was air tight. She was great at talking me down from my panic on more than one occasion, did a fantastic job of coaching us in the event we had to testify, making sure we had all of the information possible so we could make informed decisions & act in our children’s best interests. Margaret Held came on our trial date to assist & I could immediately see why Celsy was a good fit for Held Law Firm. Both incredibly smart, powerful, fierce women & absolutely terrifying in the way you hope an attorney on your side would be. We will be forever grateful for their determination & relentless work ethic. Even though they only technically represented me, they worked magic for my family. Came across as responsive and extremely concerned for their clients. Unfortunately, they do have required maintenance retainers that are outside my price range.

We live in California and needed a law firm to help us get custody of our 2 young (9 and 12 yo) grand nephews after their mother passed away. Held Law Firm, Chelsea and Abigail, in particular were our warriors! They did not give us false hope and kept things in perspective though out the entire process. We had to fight for those boys and that's where the warrior part comes into play. The attorneys and support staff are really amazing! Keeping us informed and helping us to stay on task. After being married for over 40 years, I was at a point in my life that I no longer wanted to take care of every aspect of being in that situation. I felt it was time for me to start thinking more about my life and how I wanted to spend my remaining time that I have left. It was time for me to take care of ME. Thru a friend, I talked to a lady that works in family court and knows a lot about these matters. She gave me a list of 3 lawyers and Melanie's was the first on her list. I did talk to all 3 of them and Melanie was the one I felt the most comfortable with. She was very understanding of my situation and was easy to talk to. It is my pleasure to comment on my personal experiences with the Held Law firm in Knoxville, Tennessee. To first let me explain that I am 67 years old with a very limited interaction with our legal system. The support system at the Law Office of Held Firm has always been courteous and helpful with any of my questions, advice and situations that have arisen from a legal perspective. I must say that Margaret Held has been instrumental in achieving positive outcomes in the courtroom, along with judgements that have been in my best interest. Margaret takes a personal approach with my circumstances, even when situations that have arisen at the last minute....by opposing parties. Again with results in my favor. I have personally witnessed Margret's relationships with other legal professionals both in and out of the courtroom settings. Margaret is very well respected and taken as counsel to be reckoned with. It is my opinion that if a person needs legal advice/representation that the Held Law Firm should be their first call for services. The only bad decision that a person could make is not to call the Held Law Firm counsel .
