They handled my case very professionally unlike the previous law firm that was working on my case. I never had any problems with NST and I’m satisfied with the results of the case.

In early 2021 I found myself in need of legal counsel as the result of my now ex-wife deciding that she no longer wanted to be married to me. Needless to say, this situation was extremely stressful and not at all what I wanted for my children, my ex-spouse, or myself. Nevertheless, the die was cast in my ex's mind so I had to take steps to protect myself, my biological son, and, to a degree, my step-daughter and former spouse as the divorce process moved along. At this point I decided to do some investigating and I found that the law firm of Cordell l Cordell (C l C) specialized in representing only men in divorces. After speaking and corresponding with a few attorneys and staff members at sundry different law firms in Knoxville, TN I finally decided to contact C l C and see what advice and services they could provide me with as I slogged through my divorce proceedings. I had an initial consultation with attorney John Vaught in C l C's Knoxville office. A week or so later, I officially retained C l C to provide me with legal representation during my divorce. At that point, attorney Emily B. Vowell was assigned my case. Despite the fact that my case was not one with a great deal of financial assets to be fought over and, thankfully, had a relatively low chance of going to trial I found Emily to be a tireless advocate for me and my son. Emily and the staff at C l C kept me up-to-date on the status of my case and provided me with excellent advice as to how and when to provide documents for both my ex-wife's counsel and C l C. More than once Emily demonstrated that she was willing to fight for my best interest even when I was, at times, willing to concede more than I probably should have been willing to give up. Ultimately, Emily stood by me and helped me make it through responding to my ex-wife's divorce petition and child custody plan, discovery, and expertly guided me through the process of divorce mediation. Though I didn't get everything that I wanted out of my divorce (this is especially true since I really didn't want the divorce at all), Emily's steady mindset and willingness to eagerly advocate for me, even when I didn't feel like advocating for myself, helped me secure just about as solid of a financial and, more importantly, child custody arrangement as I could have hoped for going into the divorce proceedings. I would highly recommend that any man who is facing divorce, whether the individual wants or doesn't want the divorce, at least contact the folks at Cordell l Cordell and see what advice and support that the firm, and especially Emily B. Vowell (if one is dealing with divorce in East Tennessee [or Georgia or Florida - where Emily is also licensed to practice law]), might be able to provide him with to help the individual make the best, most informed, decision that he can regarding how to proceed with the divorce process. While I hope that I never need C l C's or Emily's legal services again I know that, if such a need ever does arise in my life, I can turn to Cordell l Cordell and Emily B. Vowell for quality representation and support.
