Did not help and took forever to do almost nothing. Doesn't answer the phone doesn't call back. Would not recommend

Mr Coller is a true professional attorney. He spent a lot of time discussing the case with me and always returned my calls. For example, when I left a message with his staff that I needed to talk to him they said he would return my call. Unlike several other attorneys in the area, whom I had trouble contacting, he called me back that evening - actually from the Knoxville Airport on his way out of town. After some discussion he had to board his plane, but said he would call back later that night. He did call me back and he clearly explained what he would do and what consequences could result. In the end he was able to negotiate with the prosecutor and Judge a dismissal of the charge without me being in court. This was far better than what I expected and what other lawyers thought they could do. I highly recommend him - he is reliable, competent and knowledgeable.

I would HIGHLY recommend Laura Metcalf after she represented me in a divorce last year. She is confident, experienced and most importantly she works quickly!

Laura represented me in a divorce that, I was concerned, could have gone on for a long time and had the potential to be negative and costly. Because of her knowledge of the law, her professionalism and, quite frankly, her assertive and confident nature, it was resolved quickly and the outcome was greater than I had expected. She guided me through, answering all of my questions patiently and, at the conclusion of this painful time, I could not have asked for better counsel.

I would not recommend Laura as an attorney. She did not fight for me during my divorce but rather agreed with everything my now ex's attorney said. As a previous poster commented, she just wanted me to sign off on my divorce so she didn't have to deal with it anymore. I had unresolved issues that she acted like she would help with that ended up going nowhere. She never called or emailed back and I got the constant run around. The only way I could ever talk to her was in person, and even then she was doing other things, acted not interested and always made me feel rushed to get out. If you are looking for good legal advice I would not recommend her!

Ms. Metcalf was my lawyer for my divorce and custody matters and I was very pleased with how she handled the cases. I was constantly updated and given plenty of notice for due dates for all of the paperwork involved and court hearings and never felt overwhelmed at the process. By the time everything was resolved, I felt like her and her assistant were family.

I agree with the reviewer who said she agrees with the opposing counsel. Every single thing in that review was accurate. To make matters worse, she has lied twice that I know of to cover her mistakes. Her main concern is to socialize prior to court, do as little work as possible, and encourage you to settle. She must be afraid to litigate. She will tell you one thing when you first consult with her and then not follow through at all. I had to continually tell her what was in my parenting plan after we discussed major points. She absolutely is not an attorney who fights for you. She makes the opposing counsel's job easy. She told me she had filed a document a week before she actually did, then that document was only 3 sentences. Horrible! With her, it's settle, settle, settle. I think she doesn't want to go to trial. Must not have much confidence in her own ability. After my case was over, I spoke with several former clients and 2 other attorney's in Knoxville. They all had the same opinion as mine. Don't waste your money on her. You would be better off representing yourself!

laura was a recommendation from someone and she completely messed up my case her communication skills are horrible she takes the opposing attorneys side and didn't file appropriate documents as I was told she would . her legal assistant is a mess as well she is unorganiazed and doesn't return phone calls either its like pulling teeth to get them to answer or call back or even remember your case when they do I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER IM SORRY I HIRED HER

We highly recommend Laura. We ran into trouble few years ago. We talked to handful of lawyers in the town, and Laura stood out. We hired her, since we were impressed by her being straight forward and setting up our expectation reasonably. After the case was resolved, we thought back and could see that she pointed us to the right path, and really fought for us.

Laura was great!! Helped me navigate through a divorce that I thought was finalized many years back. She took over and it was done quickly!! So thankful for her and her willingness to help me. Is he offered a very personalized approach. Quality act!!

Laura and her office were amazing they always made me feel very confident through everything I was going through. Also ensured me that everything will be ok. I would highly recommend them.
