My daughter and several of her college-age friends were charged with simple pot possession after getting stopped by a Park Ranger in a state park in Manchester on their way to Bonnaroo. Doug worked out a plea deal in which the kids will have their records expunged after one year (provided certain conditions are met in the interim). And we didn't have to travel from out of state to attend a court hearing, which no other lawyer we interviewed for this case expected. That alone saved us a lot of time, money and anxiety. Doug's rate was very fair and our family is grateful for his service. I hired Doug Aaron after being charged for DUI. I had a squeaky clean record, but my BAC was a dismal 0.27, and I was certain that I was doomed. Doug managed to work out a deal with the DA and ALL charges were dropped in exchange for my plea of guilty to reckless driving. I hired him for a DUI first offense and the odds definitely weren't in my favor! I knew that he knew what he was doing just by my meetings with him, but when we got in court I was really very impressed with his work. It took almost two years for my case to be resolved but none of that was his fault. From the very beginning he told us that time was on our side, the longer it went on the more it was in our favor. They ended up coming to an agreement, after a very well written motion, to drop all charges. I only had to pay for a speeding ticket! After a 16 month delay I was able to have my charges reduced to a implied consent violation versus a DUI conviction.
