The doctor

I rarely ever write reviews. However, I feel compelled to inform others about the terrible experience I had with Paola Palazzolo West. She charged me an exorbitant amount of money for doing hardly anything to assist me. Not long after she was paid, I could rarely get in contact with her. She more often than not, ignored my emails. Her assistant, Cheryl, would sometimes respond to me. However, I could tell that she knew very little about that which she spoke. She would simply make up nonsensical things to try to placate me. Among the worst things they would do is bill me for things they did not do. (So, be sure to check your itemized statements if you decide to hire this attorney anyway.) They had to refund my money for falsely charging me for services they did not perform. And if this were not enough, while I was sitting in the office waiting to hire a new attorney after being Paola's client for about six months, Paola's assistant emailed me what appeared to be an old, doctored court filing. (I had been waiting quite some time for Paola to file this document. Having been deceived by her stating she would file the papers long before "she claimed" she had done so, I was finally fed up and decided to spend even more money hiring a new attorney.) In the email, her assistant indicated that the form had finally been filed with the court. However, as it turned out, the old, doctored-appearing document HAD NEVER EVEN BEEN FILED! It was a complete lie! I learned this from my new attorney.
In addition, while sitting in the office with my newly hired attorney this same day, she called opposing counsel in my case. As soon as my attorney mentioned that she was taking over the case from Paola, the opposing counsel went into a profanity-laced rage talking about Paola and her deceptive practices and how that he absolutely "can't stand that b...!"
Additionally, she had the humiliating gall to keep the balance of my money! And lest I forget to mention the following: her assistant, Cheryl, who is equally as dishonest as Paola, sent me a check for approximately 60.00, which I promptly tossed into the garbage. I have since heard from others that they had an opportunity to use Paola, but they refused to do so for a number of negative reasons.
Last, but certainly not least, they were most disrespectful. My title is "Dr." not "Mrs." Neither of them seemed capable of understanding the difference. Thus, they repeatedly referred to me as "Mrs." I often wondered if this was some catty female thing or if they both were simply a bit slow.
My advice to any and all prospective clients is to run, don't walk, away from this attorney! Otherwise, hire Paola at your own risk.
