If you are reading reviews on attorneys to determine who will best support your position in your civil litigation matter, below is a comprehensive list of my experiences with Laurie Y. Young and her staff. Background - I have hired Mrs. Young to defend my parental rights in two separate civil matters, in 2015 an in 2018, and to receive consultation on smaller matters that did not require legal action. Both outcomes were positive and all advice received was concise and sound. Services/Cost - Mrs. Young will only focus her effort and time on the important details and factors of your case. You can rest assured that your payment is being used 100% toward advancing your position in your case. There were no instances where I questioned if the effort or resources were being allocated appropriately. I bring up this point, because divorce is incredibly expensive. You don't want an attorney that is focusing on petty/minor details that will not really have any bearing on the judgement of your case. Services/Mediation-Prep - Mrs. Young is very skilled at negotiations during mediation. Before going to trial our prep was very, and I want to emphasize VERY, thorough. I would have lists of questions and concerns that I would think of while awaiting the trial date. Each question, concern, hypothetical, was both logically and concisely addressed and discussed. Mrs. Young is skilled at determining your strengths and weaknesses prior to trial. The advice given to me was spot on and strengthened the quality of my testimony. Mrs. Young also possesses the uncanny ability of predicting the actions of the opposing counsel. This was immensely helpful during trial, when certain arguments were being brought forward and I knew exactly how to appropriately respond. Services/Trial - Mrs. Young is an extremely skilled attorney in trial. Any misstep, leading question, attempt to submit evidence, or other forms of skullduggery that the opposing counsel may or may not engage in will be identified and refuted. Nothing will get by. Staff - The staff was supportive and went above and beyond. Some people adopt the practice of "leaving work, at work". I do not believe this to be the case with this team. I was receiving correspondence, even while the office was closed on holiday and vacation. The staff is efficient and remarkable with the amount of energy and effort they put into your case. Consult with Mrs. Young, and decide for yourself.

Laurie and her staff are excellent to work with. I have used Laurie for my divorce and child custody cases. Every time I work with her I know that I have a true advocate for me. She is very knowledgeable and I have always appreciated her honesty regarding the status of my cases. Her staff is awesome and always there to help me understand the cases and talk me through any legal questions or concerns. I would highly recommend Laurie and her team of professionals to anyone!

Laurie and her staff helped us navigate through troubled waters and did so in an exemplary fashion. Very displease with my experience with the receptionist. So I can only imagine the service I would receive from the firm. I called to inquire about the office doing a portion of a divorce because when I had self filed we apparently did not do the form correctly. That being said, when I called and explained the situation and asked for pricing, the receptionist was not all that interested in what I had to say. She informed me of the price and was short and curt. I not sure what is happening in the world, but I am shocked that a service based office would not want to provide kind and friendly service.

Laurie is an excellent lawyer who understands complex situations. I completely trust her advice and have confidence she has the best interests of my children in mind.

Very professional firm and staff. Both Ms Young and her paralegal Mr. Agee are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. While I wish I didn't need their services, they have been a huge help to me and my family during a challenging time.

Yall, Laurie and her WHOLE team are hands down, no doubt the BEST! I was a little skeptical at first because I wasn't sure if the investment would be worth it. But I can say whole heartedly that it is. My case was semi-simple, married for 2 years and I was the home-maker. We didnt have many assets to "fight over" but most importantly we have a little boy together. He was the reason I invested in Laurie. Over my dead body would I share custody 50/50 with my Ex husband. Although it looked impossible to steer from, Laurie and her team made the impossible my new reality! I get my son 80% of the time and walked away with WAY more profit than loss.
