I filed my Chapter 7 through Flexer. They have been absolutely amazing! They are super responsive to any questions I have via email & phone. They walked me through & explained everything to me. They were very fast with getting everything done once we started the process. I would 100% recommend! They are affordable. Tons of my family has used Flexer before in the past & they all had great experiences as well which lead me to choosing them.

Used them for chapter 7. I had asked about low income waiver of court cost and the person helping me said he never done that before. Really! You’ve done how many bankruptcies and you don’t know? Long story short, I could have saved $300 in court fees. This is the topper. When I went in and paid my last installment, not a thank you or anyone come out and ask anything, how things were going. I feel like they only care about big clients.

My dad was sick in bed at a nursing home and he and his wonderful ladies at the office came to bedside to do a power of attorney. More to this but trust me - he is not money driven. Blessed by them ❤️

I went to there office, met with the gentleman explaining my situation, asked how much to start the process, got the money and hired them within a couple days and the process was on. I met Alex and Missy, they worked around every one of my health issues, they were kind and courteous and showed me nothing but respect, Alex was a straight shooter right from the start. They answered every question I asked in a timely manner. Alex and Missy make one heck of a team. If you need a divorce lawyer this is the man you want in your corner, I have nothing but highest respect and admiration for this team, Alex will amaze you with his knowledge for TN. Law. He is also fantastic with how he operates around the court room. If you need a lawyer this is the one you want to fight for you,I know if I need him in the future he will have me covered.

Better than the rest is an understatement. Laurie and her team are the epitome of excellence, in both, a personal and professional level. Communication never lacked or wavered during the duration of working with Laurie's team, which other law firms tend to negate. That alone could have warrantied a 5 star review but it didn't stop there. Upon the first meeting with Laurie, she was able to give me peace-of-mind during such a trivial time in my life. She also walked me through every process and avenue possible to help me make the best decision on my case. Furthermore, after several months of negotiations, she never once made me feel as though I was a burden or an inconvenience. Regardless of your level of stress, worry, or despair, you may feel when life tries to take a swing at you, Call Laurie and let her take on the street fight for you while you sit back watch it via Pay-per-View. (Yes, it really can be that hands off and easy)

I was injured in Nashville at a bar on Main Street. It was the middle of the afternoon and my jaw was fractured. Without going into detail, I will be having quite a bit of dental work in my future. Sam Miller was one of the only attorney's wiling to take my case and really listen to what happened to me. He was able to negotiate a settlement even though the bar "claimed no fault." If you're looking for someone honest, fair, and knowledgeable about Tennessee Law, HIRE SAM MILLER!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Murfreesboro, Tennessee?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
