My name is Laura. I wrote a review for Mrs. Thompson about a year and a half ago. At the time, I knew I was impressed with Mrs. Thompson and her legal assistant, Mrs. Erin Hunnicutt. They were both kind, truly caring and more importantly, they were great listeners! I can now say, a year and a half later, I made the best decision for myself and my husband in choosing her to represent him in federal court. Our former lawyer was not very informative and consistently tried to get my husband to take a plea deal. Mrs. Thompson, however, educated us on the different options with which we were faced. When we finally made our decision to go to trial, there was nothing she wouldn't do to clear my husband of the horrific crime for which he was accused. She believed in his innocence and worked tirelessly to preserve it. Mrs. Thompson is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the law and even better at devising a strategy to bring about positive results. One attribute I found to be very effective is Mrs. Thompson ' s ability to think outside the box. I believe her novel or unconventional ideas are what set her apart from other attorneys. As a client of Mrs. Thompson, I highly recommend her legal expertise to anyone who needs someone to believe in them or listen to them. She and Erin really do care about their clients. Without Mrs. Thompson ' s help, my husband would most likely be in prison today for a crime which he did not commit. For all she is and for everything she has done, my family and I are truly grateful!!!

I believe that without Ms. Thompson my life would have been ruined. No other attorney would have been cared enough to get through all the accusations and charges to get to the truth. She made me believe that there would be justice. Never once did she make me feel that I would have to enter a plea due to the tactics used by the law enforcement. Law enforcement made up their minds that I was guilty even though I had never been in trouble before. Jennifer is the best!

I really needed help with a problem which involved technology. Jennifer was brilliant and very knowledgeable. I will choose her for my attorney next time I have any legal problem.

My husband has been accused of a horrific crime which he did not commit. We have had representation now for almost five years, practically void of any real communication between us and them. I finally realized that just taking a plea agreement wasn't good enough for my husband, which is what our lawyers seemed to be consistently pushing our way. By word of mouth, I heard about Mrs. Thompson and retaining her has been the absolute best decision my husband and I have made. When I first called Mrs. Thompson's office, I was afraid that I would be met with the usual nonchalance with which I was accustomed. To my surprise, I was actually met with a kind, concerned, and respectful human being on the other end of the line. It was Mrs. Thompson's paralegal, Erin Hunnicutt. She actually listened to what I had to say and thoroughly answered all of my questions with great competency. I was never made to feel as if what I had to say or ask was unimportant. Even now, I can call any time and actually speak to Erin or Mrs. Thompson. If Mrs. Thompson is unavailable, she always returns my calls. Mrs. Thompson and Erin run her law office with great efficiency and care. The first time I met Mrs. Thompson, I was impressed with her confident presence. She was quite personable and down-to-earth. She listened intently to what my husband and I had to say. As time has progressed, I have come to realize that she really loves her job and really cares about her clients. She wants the best outcome for them and for their families. With her, there are no political games. Mrs.Thompson is always informative and is extremely knowledgeable and competent with regard to the law. She actually came to our home and spent several hours of her time speaking with us and with our family. Mrs. Thompson knows that whatever affects my husband, affects his family. She knows the importance of informing the entire family of the law and the possible effects different outcomes of the case may have on the family. Mrs. Thompson wants my husband and his family to be well-informed before a life-changing decision is made. Before meeting Mrs. Thompson, my husband and I were at a loss. All hope had disappeared. We felt as if no one cared and as if there was no help for us. She has given us peace of mind. She believes in us, and I feel as if she is carrying our burdensome load. I must say that I have great respect for Mrs. Thompson, and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs any kind of legal assistance.

Jennifer Thompson is the most responsive, knowledgeable lawyer I have ever used. Upon being retained, she immediately began giving her attention to the case at hand. She thoroughly researched the facts of the case and went to extraordinary lengths to see that all bases were covered and that NOTHING was omitted or left to chance. She kept us informed of what she was doing and what was happening throughout the whole process. The case was a DCS appeal and she fought for a dismissal and won (an outcome that virtually never happens). In addition to Ms. Thompson's expertise and dogged pursuit of the truth, her legal assistant (Erin Hunnicutt) added just what was needed with her research and teamwork. These two women are a dynamic duo. If you need a lawyer in the Nashville area in her field(s) of expertise, I cannot possibly recommend her highly enough. She is a fighter and won't give up until she gets justice!

I was extremely pleased to have all charges dropped. Ms Thompson and Ms Erin were very thorough. They beat the odds.

Ms. Thompson is knowledgeable of the law. She does a great job questioning witnesses. She kept me informed. My case was really difficult, but Ms. Thompson made me feel that we could win and we did. Awesome.

My husband was accused of raping a woman 2.5 years ago. The first question we asked the police was "Do we need a layer?" At the time we had no idea of how the justice system worked and gradually found out we were both green and naive. Happily, a relative found criminal attorney Jennifer Thompson online. As my husband was indicted and taken to jail, Jennifer swooped in with confidence, hope, instruction, and knowledge. My husband was released shortly thereafter, and thus began the nightmare of lawsuits, accusations, stays, motions, and hearings. Jennifer was very calm when we were scared, informative when we didn't understand, and patient when we asked questions. Jennifer was non judgmental, never gave false assurances, and was exceedingly professional. The case went to trial twice. The first time a mistrial was declared after a family member of the plaintiff barged into the courtroom and yelled insults at my husband that could potentially sway the jury. Apparently mistrials are rare in the courtroom, and so the credit goes to Jennifer for her persistence and skill in gaining that accomplishment. Of course, the trial was rescheduled for over a year later and I can honestly say that it was the most painful, stressful, emotional, and horrible 3 days of my life. We were so grateful that Jennifer was trustworthy and worked hard for the best possible outcome. During trial, Jennifer had an exceedingly thorough knowledge of every detail of the case. Her cross examination skills were exemplary. Her ideas and manner of thinking were original, quick witted, pointed and direct, always with intention, and backed by a thorough knowledge in law. After the jury left to deliberate (about 2 hours) we were left with just family, friends, Jennifer, and her equally awesome paralegal Erin. During that painful two hours Jennifer was calm and hopeful, but never gave false assurances. When the jurors marched back in and stated “NOT GUILTY” on all 12 counts, our happiness and relief was indescribable….But Jennifer was the one who was able to accurately portray the actual events of the case, and display it in a manner such that even the stigma of a rape accusation was overcome by the jury. At the outcome, Jennifer was proud of herself, but also proud of us for holding it together. I can honestly say that I never thought I would care for an attorney, but I very much do. Personally, I find Jennifer’s personality refreshing, humorous and sometimes quirky. I would absolutely recommend her for any/all of your criminal defense needs.

Jennifer and her staff did an excellent job. Kept me informed and was very professional. Her asst. Erin was especially helpful after the case was over.

There was good communication with office personnel and counsel, timely follow-up and all questions were answered to my satisfaction.
