I have reached out to Mrs. Miller after my divorce attorney closed his practice office to become a Judge. She has represented me for over 9 years now as my ex-husband has been using the legal system to continue harassing me after divorce. Karla is very alert and attentive. She has great memory, very organized, very knowledgeable, and detail oriented lady. I have enjoyed seeing her cornering him in every single court hearing and deposition. She put alot of effort digging into proofs and weaving them together to prove our points. Karla was an outstanding attorney for me. She treated me like a friend and helped me get thru a very long and difficult divorce. I hired Karla back in 2016. I did not proceed with my initial issue. I am so grateful that I put a retainer down in the first place because I knew that I was going to have issues coming up. Fast forward to now. My EX is perhaps the most difficult person ever. Most people will say, no, mine is, but I have to be in the top 1%. Karla put up with approximately 100 emails from my EX that were meaningless gibberish. Karla shut her up with a 2 sentence email that I am still laughing about. Karla not only has a sharp mind, but also has a sharp tounge. Karla and everyone in her office is extremely responsive to any inquiry. As a matter of fact, Karla covered for her partner while her partner was out on maternity leave. I have received emails from Karla as late 11:00 PM. This is someone who has their client as #1. Karla will get back to you at any time, I am out of state and have to communicate by email and phone, she is always responsive. I would highly recommend Karla to anyone. I had a prior attorney who I had no confidence in. With Karla, this was not the case. I had 100% confidence in this lady from day 1 when I had my consult on the phone. When I thought all hope in trial court was lost, I found Karla! I had been given the run around by two well known attorneys prior to hiring Karla but she restored my faith. I was recommended to Karla, post dicorce, and she was fantastic! There was a lot to my case, but she dove right in and got more done for me in one month, than my prior post divorce attorney did in 1.5 years! She is caring, attentive, knowledgable and no nonsense. She paid special attention to the fact that I am a single mother with two children(one with special needs) and she did not nickel and dime me for every little thing, which was is what I witnessed prior. In fact, she and her office would make sure that I was aware and ok with any additional costs, before they proceeded with anything! I have been very fortunate over the years to have not needed the services of a lawyer so when it came time to find a divorce lawyer it was a little intimidating. Due to the circumstances surrounding said divorce I had a short window of time to find a good one in order to take advantage of certain opportunities. Boy did I get lucky. Karla was able to explain the process in layman's terms from the start which really put me at ease. She and her professional staff were accomodating and provided honest advice throughout the process even if I didn't want to hear it. Karla was so prepared compared to the opposing lawyer it almost seemed unfair. Her experience in general and especially in Wilson County was invaluable in my case. In the end, Karla helped me avoid an expensive hearing by brokering a very favorable mediation settlement.
