I had hired Mr Willard immediately as when I was charged and facing a court martial. Mr Willard first stood out to me as extremely competent in all matters regarding the UCMJ. Through the entire process he has proved such ! His concern for my well being and adequate treatment was something he immediately took action on! His ability and commitment for me to fully understand every step of the process and always answering every question I had throughly. He gave me such a relief to have outstanding legal representation that truly stood beside me and always had my best interest in mind ! One thing among many that Mr Willard does is he prepares you for every possible outcome and never gives you any sort of false hope. Attorney Willard assisted me during an investigation predicated by a DEOC Survey during my time as a company commander, where he helped me answer investigation questions, draft a response to the findings and recommendations, and draft a response to the resulting referred OER. After struggling for over a year with medical issues and false allegations of misconduct, I was at my lowest point. The Fort Campbell justice system was seeking to end my career in a punitive manner, instead of allowing my MEB to proceed. They gave me thirty days to respond to an initiation of separation notification and I could barely muster the effort to open up my computer. The lawyer I was assigned by Fort Campbell Legal Assistance told me they had, "never seen anything like this before," that I should "keep my response to two pages," and offered only to "look over my response" the day before it was due. Mr. Willard II really stuck by me throughout the whole process of my QMP board.
