I had hired Mr Willard immediately as when I was charged and facing a court martial. Mr Willard first stood out to me as extremely competent in all matters regarding the UCMJ. Through the entire process he has proved such ! His concern for my well being and adequate treatment was something he immediately took action on! His ability and commitment for me to fully understand every step of the process and always answering every question I had throughly. He gave me such a relief to have outstanding legal representation that truly stood beside me and always had my best interest in mind ! One thing among many that Mr Willard does is he prepares you for every possible outcome and never gives you any sort of false hope. He adequately addresses any issues / questions and truly understands both sides of not only defense but also prosecution. He is extremely passionate about what he does and is aggressive with his defense in fighting tooth and nail for your best interest. I would not have had the outcome I had in my case if it wasn’t for Mr Willard and Matthew Barry and law office. If I didn’t have such outstanding representation I would not be where I am today. If anyone is reading this debating to hire Matthew Barry and law I highly recommend you do immediately and I have seen first hand their unwavering dedication to their clients. Thank you!

Attorney Willard assisted me during an investigation predicated by a DEOC Survey during my time as a company commander, where he helped me answer investigation questions, draft a response to the findings and recommendations, and draft a response to the resulting referred OER. His assistance throughout this process resulted in my command team choosing to forego any administrative or punitive action against me and I would recommend him to any service member in need of legal counsel.

Mr. Willard helped me in a CID investigation.
He guided me seamlessly through a very scary process. The outcome in legal matters can be unpredictable, so he always briefed me on the various scenarios I could anticipate in my case. After every meeting I felt I left with a clear plan of action and less confusion. This was especially appreciated since I was deployed and didn't have the usual resources I would have had stateside.
He also responded promptly to all my messages in clear language, giving the perfect amount of detail and not being afraid to say when he did not know something.
The investigation was resolved in my favor, no probable cause found and no adverse action taken. I couldn't be happier with his representation. Great job!

Attorney Willard is a very good lawyer who absolutely knows the ins and outs of Military Law. He took whatever time was needed to answer any and all my questions, gave insight to the process, and was patient with my schedule. If you have to hire an attorney due to a Military investigation (and you should in most circumstances), I highly recommend Attorney Willard.

I was facing a board of inquiry for elimination as an O3. I went with attorney Willard because I needed someone with military experience who was familiar with regulation and military personas. Lawrence Willard is confident and professional. He is direct and tells you like it is, no sugar coating. He was the fighter I needed when I was ready to give up from a long and arduous legal process. He kept me encouraged and his gameplan was well thought out and strategized. I was retained so it was most definitely money well spent.

Mr. Willard assisted me with an Involuntary Separation Board 2 years after receiving a GOMOR for a property situation that occurred 4 years previously as a Commander in which I self-reported on. He was very easy to work with and available whenever I needed to reach out with questions. He helped to make the process much smoother than when I previously had been working with a TDS-appointed attorney. He was recommended to me by someone else who had worked with him and I will gladly recommend Mr. Willard to anyone else who needs assistance in the military concerning GOMORs and Separations. The outcome of my board was favorable and the board members voted to retain me in the military. This would not have been possible without Mr. Willard’s assistance.

Attorney Willard is an aggressive, well-read, and incredibly effective defense lawyer. I was accused of sexual harassment and he was flexible, knowledgeable, and embodies a consummate professional. He prepared my written statement and appeal and I could not be more grateful. He is dependable, supportive, and I will forever be grateful for what he provided me in a very difficult time. Thank you Attorney Willard!

Recommend this firm to anyone seeking help. I was without hope when I reached out. Being falsely accused is hard to deal with and Matt was there every step of the way. It is hard to explain in words what his services meant for me.

After struggling for over a year with medical issues and false allegations of misconduct, I was at my lowest point. The Fort Campbell justice system was seeking to end my career in a punitive manner, instead of allowing my MEB to proceed. They gave me thirty days to respond to an initiation of separation notification and I could barely muster the effort to open up my computer. The lawyer I was assigned by Fort Campbell Legal Assistance told me they had, "never seen anything like this before," that I should "keep my response to two pages," and offered only to "look over my response" the day before it was due. I found Lawrence online the next day. After a brief consult, he offered to collect all the relevant information, develop a strategy, and assembled a response that was over 100 pages long. Lawrence was the only person I meant that demonstrated competence, confidence, and offered me hope during a terrible chapter in my life. I was able to be medically retired because of the response he drafted and his support throughout the process was invaluable. I cannot recommend him enough.

Mr. Willard II really stuck by me throughout the whole process of my QMP board. He contacted me on numerous occasions, just to keep me up to date on the process and also he was readily available if I had any questions. He drafted an exceptional response to prove that I am an individual with limitless potential which earned me a second chance in military. I know my hard work was due to my performance in the military, but I could have not done it without him.

Mr. Willard was immediately in my corner, fighting for me against a very toxic command that labeled me guilty of harassment before the investigation was even done. I was flagged and under investigation for 15—yes, that's right—15 months. I was treated terribly by my Battalion Command, thrown aside as rubbish, while the person who falsely accused me was praised and promoted.
Mr. Willard was hired when I was notified I was going to a separation board. After 12 years of active service, they were going to attempt to separate me from the Army on an OTH discharge. Without Mr. Willard, this would have definitely happened. He immediately gives you his 110% effort in providing the absolute best counsel possible, preparing you for interviews, cross-examination, board proceedings, the whole shebang.
Because of Mr. Willard, my board findings were unsubstantiated, and I was retained without rehabilitation. He helped show the truth of the actual incident

I originally called a different law firm, left my name and number for return call. They did not call back. Elder Law was recommended to me. They answered the phone promptly and set up meeting that call. The meeting with the team went beyond well. They answered my questions and questions I didn't know I had. They continue to answer and return calls, texts or emails. Highly recommend this group.
