I originally came to Clark & Washington four years ago to file Chapter 7 and I was told I was unable to and I had to file Chapter 13. I haven’t missed one payment in four years and I’m one year from being done but I need to sell my car as it’s no longer reliable and get something else. I owe $2600 on my car that’s part of my bankruptcy and I have an offer for carmax to buy it for $11,000. I contacted Clark and Washington in FEBRUARY and I was told the process takes 21 days. It is now MAY and I keep getting the run around. At one point the lawyer handling my case quit and no one said anything adding more time I’m going without a reliable car. They are so unprofessional and I believe try to take advantage of you, they sent me an email 2 weeks ago talking about me filing chapter 7…. I’m just a year out from being done, WHY WOULD I DO THAT?!?!? Im just very disappointed that this is how my case has been handled concerning I’ve paid on time for 4 years and I know most people fail to finish Chapter 13. I just need a reliable car to get to work and they are dragging their feet and don’t care!
