I would recommend the Lorfing Law firm to anyone who is seeking the best council of defense. Mr. Lorfing is absolutely the hardest working attorney that I have ever met. Russell Lorfing is THE guy you hire if you’ve been charged with a federal crime in West Texas. My fiancè was charged with a serious federal charge in Abilene and we needed an experienced defense lawyer to help us out . The lawyer he first had , was just very unexperienced and did not even want to try to help him out and said all he was able to get my fiancè was 13YEARS . I spoke to multiple lawyers before speaking to Mr.Lorfing on the phone to try to get him better representation. Every lawyer i spoke to was just trying to sell themself to me and tell me exactly what I wanted to hear but not Mr.Lorfing. As soon as I finished speaking to Mr.Lorfing i knew I wanted him as his lawyer . He is one of the most honest lawyers you will find , he tells you exactly how things are and answers your questions in an honest matter. I live in california with a two hour time difference and he still manages to answer my calls or text to answer any questions i have . April 2021 My name is Ron and currently I am a Professor at a University. The purpose of these remarks is to share my observations concerning attorney at law, Russell Lorfing. Recently one of our sons was involved in a legal matter that potentially could have sent him to prison, perhaps for ten years, and with a significant fine. As we prayerfully pursued legal assistance, we trusted the Lord for a lawyer who would battle our sons’ legal case and stand by him as a strong Christ-like role model. Those prayers were answered and then some. From the first time we consulted with Russell, to see if he would even consider the case, we could tell that he was an engaged listener with an intentional desire to understand the details of the legal matter. It was easy to tell that Russell, first and foremost, cared about our son as a person and then as a potential client. He began our initial meeting by asking about our sons’ life so he could get to know the character and soul of our son, and then he preceded to ask about the specifics of our son’s legal issues. He has been a Godsend and a blessing to our family. On an important side note: he was able to get the grand jury to throw out own sons case and keep him from having a felony on his record. I had never been in any kind of legal trouble until fall of 2020. I was in a dark place due to a recent divorce and an addiction problem. I found myself facing a second-degree assault felony charge, a misdemeanor charge, and possibly losing custody of my children. I had accepted the consequences of my actions. Soon following, I received a call from Russell saying that he was able to get my felony completely dismissed! This literally does not ever happen! Russell was also instrumental in helping me regained custody of my children. He exceeded my expectations in every way I could have imagined. I truly cannot say enough about this man. Not only did Russell save me from a felony conviction and regain custody of my children, but he helped me turn my entire life around! He has become a mentor and a friend. When I came to the Lorfing lawfirm, I knew I was asking for the impossible. I was a six time convicted felon and the prosecutors would hang me if they could. I was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a bunch of other offenses. My first attorney told me I was looking at life at prison. When I hired Russell, I had already made the decision to change my life but just didn’t know how. But Russell Lorfing showed me the way. In all my years of dealing with the criminal justice system, I’ve never met anyone like him to be honest with you. He cared about me. He called to check on me. He helped me stay sober and taught me how to believe in myself. He designed this course called Freedom Fighters to help people like me become a better father and a better husband. He asked me to do a whole lot of stuff – take random drug tests, go to AA every day, counseling, in addition to a laundry list of other things. And I did like he told to do. I don’t know how he did it to this day but he was able to convince the prosecutors to drop most of my charges and all my enhancements. I ended up pleading to five years DEFERRED PROBATION. I would have thought he walked on water had he been able to get me 10 years…I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be able to get probation with my criminal history. Russell gave me my life back. He gave me a second chance at life and a chance to stay home and be a dad to my kids. Words cannot express how grateful I am to this man. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me and giving me another chance at life.

My name is Maxamillion Powdrill Sr...I would like to give the most thanks and appreciation to Mr. Russell Lorfing for being the most concerned and hard fighting lawyer I've ever seen and hired. I was facing a 25 to life with my criminal history despite this being my first violent crime charge. I knew they could enhance my charge but I knew I wasn't guilty and I needed someone who would be genuinely concerned and hear the truth and fight for me by any means necessary. Russell represented my brother Cody. Cody has been in and out of prison most of his life. He was definitely the black sheep of the family. However, a year and a half ago he got into some trouble and I was looking at 25 years to life. This was in Montgomery county Texas. Cody and I was most certain he was going to get 25 to life. I have no idea how he did it but he was able to get PROBATION for my brother! The relief was extraordinary! We will never be able to Express hour gratitude enough. Cody did his job and is held down his employment for more than 2 years. No drugs no alcohol no issues of any kind. We are a large part of this to Russell. God bless this man!
