This company deserves a zero; however this option is not available. I called the Houston office last August after an encounter with an adjuster (from the insurance company of the driver who rear ended my vehicle). Godsey Martin sent a non-lawyer to meet me a few days later, and I retained them to represent me because I just did not want to fight with the adjuster in a case where the insured was clearly responsible for the damage. Since this is not my first time hiring a personal injury lawyer, I knew what to expect - get a chiropractor, have him treat you for as long as possible. I was adamant that I was feeling alright and did not want to see a chiropractor. They told me that they couldn't help me unless I got treatment. I chose not to take off three times a week to see one when it wasn’t necessary. I did not hear from the law firm for several months. When they did call it was to find out if I had received treatment. When I told them I hadn't, they decided that they would pursue the insurance company based on my emergency room visit. For the next six months are so, I received weekly phone calls to notify me that my case had been transferred to yet another person. It is important to note, I have yet to speak to an attorney in the 12 months since they took my case. Almost four weeks ago, I received a call notifying me that they have reached a settlement. It was during this conversation that I was notified that in addition to the 33% fee, they were also going to take one hundred and eighty-five dollars for medical records and an additional two hundred dollars for administrative fee. So when it was said and done they would receive almost fifty percent of the settlement amount. After paying my medical bills I would be left with around 10 percent. I was so disgusted with them, I told Ms. Natasha to take care of things and close the case so I can move on. I am writing this review today because I haven't heard from any one in four weeks. None of my medical bills have been paid, and they have all been referred to collection. Several years ago I have another case, and the only person I encountered was the attorney and his secretary who answered the telephone. The day this attorney received the settlement check, he went directly to the physical therapist office, paid them, and then he drove directly to my house and paid me. He took what he rightly deserved (33%). So I have an obligation to share my experience with the public. I hope this is enough to persuade you to stay away from this circus that is Godsey Martin. There is better out there, and if you want the name and contact information of the attorney a used several years ago, I will be happy to pass it along to you. I know it’s hard to believe, but there e are Honest, decent attorneys here in the Houston area. Unfortunately Godsey and Martin are not among them!

My rating is acturally -5 stars since I can't do that,1 star is the most they get. This the worst firm in the entire DFW metroplex. Please I am begging you do not hire them. My wife was in an accident and there was a witness who placed the other person at fault. When we called Godsey Martin Law firm they had someone over to sign papers within an hour. 1ST red flag. They set us up with an injury clinic and advised us to keep going to chiropractor despite the fact my wife didn't need treatment. She did all kinds of tests in a bid to "drum up the bill".2nd Red flag. The other party's insurance wanted to settle for a 50% reduction since police report was unclear but our case handler advised us not to. Said we had a case and should send our case to litigation. 3rd red flag. We never ever once spoke to our attorney despite numerous calls for them to update us on our case. It was basically a nightmare. Over the course of the 8 months they had our case we had 4 people handling our case. None of them knew left from right and we always had to call them for updates. From operator all the way to the parallegals they nothing but rude and argumentative. Due to the fact that we hired them the other party hired an attorney and is now suing my wife. We called our attorney again to let them know what was happening and they informed us at that time that they will not be taking our case to litigation.We were so shocked, but really I was not surprised. Please beware of all these lawyers advertising on the radio for your business. I am sure there are some great lawyers but if I were you I would not hire this company for anything, other than teaching you how to be a crook. If you want your time to be wasted hire them. I am speaking from experience. The worst part about it is there's nothing you can do to them, they will keep advertising and surely some sucka is going to fall for their scams. Please take your injury claim case somewhere else!!

I loved Ms Natasha she did what she said she was going to do with calling and kept me up to date about everything going on and explained everything thoroughly

I was in an accident almost 3 years ago and the process was long but I was taking care of every step of the was, and in the 3 years before I received my settlement I've had numerous of paralegal handling my case, but none was so informative and kept me in the loop like Emile Lopez she stayed on top of everything and made sure I understood what was happening...thank you very much for hard work Emile Lopez and to the Godsey Martin Law firm.

I've been waiting for a call for my son for about 4 months, since every time i call it sends me to voicemail, I leave a message and still haven't got a call back.... Starting to get frustrated since their not able to communicate, some lady name lashunda kept in touch for the 1st 2 to 3 months now its been about 7 months and still no call...his father has a lawyer thru them for the same accident and apparently he gets paid this week...so i guess we just got the wrong side of the firm

My family obtained this law firm in May of last year after a car accident . We had some issues that arose with communication during the process . This was brought to the attention of Lynda Abney & Carol Davis with the negotiation team. These ladies stopped & gave my case their full attention . I received an update on my case for three days straight . On the fourth day i had a confirmation notice that was my check was being sent over night. My case was not your average accident case due to minors were included . These ladies fought with the insurance company as much as they could to get my family what they deserved . Kimberly Clark (Dallas) was a breath of fresh air, I've been worrying about my case and just needed a better understanding of the whole legal process, she broke everything down in layman terms, no law jargons, just plain and simple. I asked a million and 1 questions about my case (Most people would of became irritated and dismissive) but not Kimberly, she answered every last one of them and then continued to ask me if I have any more questions. She was soooo nice and sweet, one of the nicest, kindest associates I ever spoke with at Godsey Martin, maybe even at any other Customer Service atmosphere/setting. Mr. Martin please give Kimberly Clark recognition, because she is an Amazing associate, that will definitely have clients wanting to refer friends and family there for legal representation.
