Brent really helped understand my case and triage what needed to happen. There were multiple steps in my case and he let me know what should happen every step of the way. He made this incredibly sensitive and hard time, more manageable. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Communication was awful to non-existent and then I was billed for him reading emails asking what the status was. During mediation, he stood by and didn't say much while I argued with the mediator, whom he recommended (and that I paid for), except for insisting that I better take whatever deal the mediator had worked out with the ex's attorney or else I'd be screwed. If I hadn't pushed back against the mediator and him, I would have been paying the ex even more money than I am. My whole experience with him was worse than an unsedated colonoscopy, I can only assume.

Brent puts on a great show in the consultation meeting, but drops the ball after that. Emails and phone calls took several days to return and when he did, there was always an excuse! I paid thousands for my divorce and my mother passed away in the middle of it, but he gave the most lame excuses for why things hadn’t been done! He doesn’t put his clients first, only his self interests. I kept hounding him because ex husbands pension Qdro needed to be completed, signed by judge and submitted before Dec 31. Divorce final Dec 14 and was told everything would be fine. The funds manager didn’t receive it until Jan 26 and I lost $300,000 because of Brent’s laziness and excuses! I wouldn’t recommend him to anybody, the worst attorney!

If a face showing up to a hearing is representation, then McMullen did that. He failed to advise us before, during or after a custody case hearing, nothing. It was a zoom hearing, yet no word was heard, no questions asked. Two other opposing attorneys in the case went into private consultation - he did not. We decided to cut our losses and go with someone new. He was all expertise in the initial consultation but failed in communication and in representation. Money down the tubes. Staff are nice and professional.

This attorney will not win your custody or parental rights. You will end up paying him thousands of dollars, filing wortless rule 11 agreements and when court time comes, he will not fight. He will not explain to you the consequences because he wants more billable hours for every phone call, email or text. Before you know it you will be out of a minimal of 10K. So not worth it.

Brent was very instrumental in my case and was particularly good at listening to my needs. Divorce is a very sensitive matter and requires someone that understands this and works hard toward a quick resolution. I fully recommend Brent for divorce cases.

I hired him recently and lost temporary custody of my daughter with his representation. He didn’t fight for my parental rights! He’s not aggressive! After the first hearing I was done!
