I was referred to them by one of my coworkers as a flight attendant. I had a very unique divorce being a stay at home mom and then becoming a flight attendant and I trusted them to represent me. Before the first hearing I spoke with his son and gave him all the information for my case, including recordings. He made me feel like I was in good hands. He understood how dire the situation I was in. The next morning at the hearing Dwain was the one to show up to represent me. He showed up with a stain on his shirt and it was untucked. When I was pulled into a room to talk about my case he wanted me to catch him up on everything. He spoke with the other lawyer and made me believe my ex would give me more visitation if I asked, and that the 8 days I sign are just temporary. Wrong, wrong, wrong! I’ve been on an uphill battle since. I needed his guidance over an issue with my ex. My ex wouldn’t let me drop off my son as intended and I was close to losing my job by having to report at another base out of state the next day. He assured me everything would be okay and he’d reach out to the opposing counsel. He didn’t, he refused my phone calls and emails after that. I couldn’t get through to him multiple times and days. His secretary continued to say I would be contacted back. Never was! I had had to hire another lawyer to help me get out of the big ditch I was in. Spent 2,500 for terrible advice and representation on this firm in August 2020! The case was under Wilkins. If you’re a mother looking for custody do not go here, not organized and you will have to hire another lawyer with fees being doubled to fix what was placed.

Great, great, great, great people! Dwain and Jake went to bat for me during my custody case. I WON! They are professional and take the high road on everything! They do not rely on shady tactics to win. Only facts. If you are in a custody battle, and the other parent is an unfit parent and using your children as weapons, choose Downing & Downing!!!!! I couldn't be more happy with them. It's always a pleasure to talk to them. Either its life, or about the case, they are there.

Paul Francis is thorough, experienced, knowledgeable and professional plus full of integrity and wise advice. He assisted my parents in the editing of their wills then helped me to understand my role and perform my responsibilities as executrix when they passed away. It was a huge comfort and support to know that I could turn to him with questions and concerns. When I sold my parent's home after their deaths, the legal secretary at the title company even commented about the skill and excellence of Paul's work and how that made the sale/transfer go so much smoother.
