Russell met with me about a year and a half ago to handle a case for me against a landlord who was refusing to be compliant with Texas statute on deposit amounts. I was referred to him by my Employees Assistance Program and he honored a discounted price because of that (which was awesome). Russell explained to me the risks of what could potentially happen in the future should I seek to push the case past a demand letter and informed me that I would be working with Caryn also. Throughout the drawn out process (because of the incompetent landlord) Caryn explained me to every step that was occurring. A year and a half later, the firm was able to get me a settlement that I was pleased with. I was so pleased with the services, that I even decided to bring my mom in to meet him and Caryn so that she could hire him for her own Estate Planning. I was not happy with the experience I had with Russell and his assistant lawyer. It appeared to me that they found my case to be unimportant; and I still wonder if they did all they could to win it. At one point, after paying Russell thousands, he wouldn't allow me to speak with the lawyer who was handling my case until I paid a bill of roughly $350. It was extremely unprofessional. I also mentioned to him that I was planning to post a review. He immediately required me to sign something that I wouldn't post anything negative or he would drop my case. Perhaps that's why he has no other negative reviews? I was more than happy to end the relationship because all the money I was giving him was a huge waste. Beware!!!
