I was very impressed with John Coonley's knowledge of both Business and Law, and appreciated the fact that he is himself, a small business owner as well as a lawyer. I believe that his experience gives him an understanding of what other small business owners and startups need and want. He also impressed me with the speed and attention he gave my case. Throughout, John was a consummate professional. I will definitely be looking to use his services again in the future.

I recently had an opportunity to purchase a business from a friend. It was kind of an unorthodox situation, and I quickly realized I could not navigate the legal system to handle it on my own. I called the only lawyer I knew that specialized in this type of thing, but it was two weeks before I could even get an appointment. I started calling around and spoke with a few assistants, and one lawyer, none of whom was interested in such a small transaction, and those that were, made sure I was going to pay for the "honor" of doing business with them. I left a few messages with a few other law firms and called it a day. Less than an hour later, I get a call from John. I tell him my story, and explain that I am working on a limited budget. He says forget about money for a second and just come into the office and lets talk about it. So I did. John laid it all out for me, and was not only patient with my repeated lines of stupid questions, but he gave me a heck of a deal, enabling me to streamline the entire transaction. He has made himself available for anything I need related to my business, and while I hope I don't need his help in the future, he will continue to be my go-to guy for all business related legal matters. One of my favorite things about John is that he is and has been a business owner. He was able to relate to me, and as a business owner, he could speak from experience directly to my situation. That was more of a comfort than I thought it would be. I don't often have the opportunity to recommend a business lawyer to people I know, but when I can, this is the guy I'm sending them to.
