I spoke with no less than 15 (no kidding) other attorneys prior to my email with Ms. Rickhoff regarding my “heirship” issue. After the many wasted hours invested with other attorneys over the phone and by email, to no avail, I was beginning to believe I would have to travel the 19 hours to Austin to secure an attorney that not only had the “time” to represent me, but also the competency and willingness to take such a complicated matter forward. After my initial email to Ms. Rickhoff we followed up by phone and I was immediately impressed that she had invested the time to read, and fully comprehend, the very complicated heirship issue I had, along with several other issues that were tied into same. Over the course of her representation with the heirship and then a trustee issue, I found her to be extremely prompt, knowledgeable, thorough, dedicated and honest. Given my long distance relationship, Ms. Rickhoff made every effort to fully answer each and every question I had; knew my case front and back; kept me informed by email and phone; always looked out for my best interest and was always extremely knowledgeable, honest and forthcoming. Moreover, Ms. Rickhoff was always extremely punctual and prompt in responding to emails and calls, which is rare in this line of work. I didn't have any estate planning documents and had finally reached the stage where I knew I couldn't ignore it any longer. My situation wasn't particularly complicated but I had a lot of questions about how things worked - and I wanted to know in detail. Liesel was excellent at answering my questions, being patient and giving me all the time I needed to make decisions, following up with me in a timely manner, and being available when I wanted to sign my documents. She is very knowledgeable and has great perspective on what sometimes can be a challenging process.
