I have worked in a business capacity with David for the last 5 years. He has given sound, practical advice during that time. I respect that he does not advise the course of action that earns him the most hours. His guidance has always been the "right" course of action. He fosters long term relationships with his clients. David represented me in a lawsuit with my HOA. Although almost every party involved in the lawsuit felt certain that it would "never go to trial" - when it did, I was advised to retain David due to his trial experience and I can say that was some of the best advice I've ever received. David is one of those people you automatically like the first time you meet him. He is a busy lawyer, but he always responded (timely) to any question I had and when it was clear that the lawsuit was to go before a jury trial, David got to work and showed why he was the person my trusted advisor suggested for the job. Without going into all the details, let me say this. Some people in this world are lucky enough to find their calling and they become one of the best at what they do. David is one of those people - he was born to be lawyer. He connected with the jury and it was clear to them and everyone else involved in this lawsuit that he truly believed in the cause he was fighting for on my behalf. He was better prepared than our opposition, he was passionate about the arguments he presented before the jury, he was polite, but VERY effective in his cross examination of witnesses and simply put - he "hit it out of the park" during the trial. David won my case for me and the jury also awarded me a substantial amount in attorney's fees. It was an absolute pleasure to watch him at work, especially during the trial - thank goodness I had him on my side. As I mentioned before, it is a joy to be associated with people who are one of the best at what they do, and David is one of those people. There aren't enough stars in the "overall rating" section of this referral for me to adequately show how strongly I feel about David M. Gottfried as a world class attorney and possibly more importantly, a sincere and caring person of the highest standard of integrity.
