I hired Ms. Godwin during a fairly heated custody case. She explained the process to me thoroughly and even though she had some personal things going on, she still fought for the best interest of me and my child. She didn't have to do half of the things she did, but she let me know what I deserved and worked hard to make sure everything turned out fairly for both parties. She answered my phone calls and emails in a timely manner and let me know every next step. At the end of everything, I almost forgot she was my lawyer because she treated me more like a friend than a client. As someone who has no experience using a lawyer for a situation like this, she put my mind at ease. I will recommend her to any friend of family member who may need a family law attorney in the future. Thank you for everything Heather!

Heather was the perfect attorney for me. I knew after 1 phone call that I wanted to work with her on my divorce. She is a great listener and stays engaged. Her response time is amazing as well. Heather represented my ex-wife in a custody dispute. I couldn't have asked for a better attorney for my attorney to easily walk all over. She files nonsensical motions, rapid-fire, presumably to burn up the retainer faster. Her credentials appear to be in corporate law, and the fact she's accepting divorce cases is a shame. She's unprofessional, unprepared, and long past time to find another career path.

Heather was a great lawyer, and I would definitely recommend her to others. She took the time to understand my case and was always willing to make adjustments as necessary. Edit: After finally managing to have my account closed out, my opinion of Heather greatly changed. The long time it took to hear back from her over simple matters, inconsistencies with provided information and actualities, and problems not handled as a part of my divorce that should have been included in the original document have made me no longer recommend her.
