I went through a difficult divorce recently that required experience with LGBTQ issues. Picking Kody for my legal counsel was the best choice I could have made. I knew from the first meeting with Kody that he was completely invested in my case and would give it the attention it would require. He proved to be an exceptional lawyer. He was fair-minded, professional, and realistic at all times, even when my ex-wife’s lawyer was trying to make it extremely difficult to stay civil. He knew when to be firm and unwavering with the opposing counsel, which ultimately resulted in an agreement without having to go to court. Kody and his paralegal, Priscilla, are an excellent team. They were friendly and responsive at all times. The billing of my case was handled in a very prudent and efficient manner. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Kody again in the future.

I am grateful I found Kody to handle my divorce. He understands the law and court systems in Texas extremely well and has the empathy and communication skills many lawyers lack, while still being straightforward about the risks and rewards. He and his team were very responsive, including on weekends and outside of normal business hours, and he handled both the legal and emotional aspects of divorce with skill and compassion. Kody and his paralegal Priscilla were excellent to work with. As an active and involved father that was caught off guard with a divorce request from my ex-wife who wanted to move my son away from Austin to a city we had never lived in, I was a bit distraught to say the least. I initially had gone to another attorney for counsel, but realized after a week or two that the other attorney did not have a detailed plan and did not appear vested in my case. Right off the bat with Kody, we set out a very detailed, organized plan. We went over what was most important to us and what we wanted the end results to be. Kody was realistic throughout the process and listening to him paid dividends...we won at the temporary orders hearing and received what we wanted all along at mediation...my son would not be moving and would be staying in our locale. Throughout the case Kody and Priscilla were very responsive and "on-top" of things. This was critical as my ex-wife was intentionally causing problems, so on the spot legal advice was needed several times throughout the case. The best thing I can say about Kody is that I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him again and plan to do so in the future if my ex-wife does not play nice. You won't go wrong hiring him and his team.

Kody Silva and his team were extremely supportive and responsive in my divorce. I was so insecure when I first approached the firm for their help. The reputation of him and this firm, provided the strong backing that I felt I needed to project during the divorce process with my now-Ex.
