Great attorney great firm

Thomas Just is an associate attorney at Bustos Family Law in Austin, Texas. I trusted Thomas Just with my future. You will find it evident by the end of this review that Just will, without hesitation, leave your life upended for a handsome profit. In fact, there is no guarantee that you will even be divorced when he is done wringing you dry. Anger and outrage are often the driving forces behind high-conflict divorce litigation. Just will not exercise “client control” as he is morally and ethically bound to do, however. To the contrary, he sees dollar signs when his clients are at vicious odds with their exes. At a time when you are on your knees, Just will be drawing up paperwork to take out exorbitant lines of credit in your name while assuring you that your settlement will be considerable. This is a blank check for Bustos Family Law, and Just will bill against your credit freely and recklessly. My line of credit ran over $50,000 and Just still had his hand out for more money, right before he withdrew from my case on the eve of final trial. The man who should have been at my side throughout had cut and run when I needed him most. I signed a disadvantageous Mediated Settlement Agreement rather than face final trial alone. My divorce was finished by a friend to whom I also owe attorney’s fees now. The State Bar of Texas investigated Just for alleged professional misconduct. The investigations ended in dismissals of my grievances (the Bar’s Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel is not a pillar of functionality and lawyers look out for their own). In the meantime, one of Just's other failed clients has filed his own grievance against Just over similar treatment and a disastrous outcome for he and his family.

Caroline Badinelli came to my rescue when I was blindsided by a custody suit in early 2020. She was professional, thorough, and helped to keep me calm and assured through the process. No one ever expects a suit to just be dropped on them, but at least in my case, I had someone reliable like Caroline to help me toward an acceptable resolution. I would highly recommend Caroline any day of the week!

Caroline was AWESOME! She was able to gain me sole custody to my children after a nasty co parenting experience. Only took her one hearing!

Caroline took my case on short notice. I was very low on funds at the time and needed help extremely bad. Caroline stepped in and took over my case and was extremely well prepared and tenacious when we went to court and trial. I was found not guilty and I honestly believe that I would not have received the justice that I did if I would not have had Caroline! Caroline is worth every penny and does an excellent job.

Caroline was patient and understanding and worked with me through a hard hard time. I owe a lot to her. So grateful!

This comment is in answer to the reviewer Robin Altson disparaging this attorney for losing her case. The attorney’s performance had nothing to do with Robin’s losses. Robin Altson was trying to claim child support for two children who did not live with her, severed all contact with her, and have not had a relationship with her in several years. No responsible judge would have awarded child support to a non-custodial parent under such conditions. Certainly, no judge would have awarded future child support for children that were never going to reestablish a relationship with said parent. The judge did Robin a favor by not requiring her to pay child support to the father who had custody of two of the three children. She should be thankful for that. The reason Robin Altson was questioned on the stand to the extent that she is that she operates a cash and trade business teaching piano lessons. She does not keep record nor report cash or trade to the IRS. There was lots of questioning of how she could possibly support a household with such a low level of claimed income. Her ex-husband was, in contrast, honest and there was simply nothing more to ask. As for the records she references in this review, those were her children’s private meetings with a therapist that they requested she never view. Robin Altson said it was the attorney’s idea to pull those records and review them. We are pleased to see that in writing this is a lie we had suspected all along. Despite her children’s wishes that she not Invade their privacy and have access to their private comments, it appears she requested the records anyway. Then she blamed the attorney for not getting them in time. Even the therapist asked that this not take place. In short, I suggest all reviewers disregard this malicious review. The attorney was not responsible for Robin Altson’s loss, the judge made the decision based on the facts at hand. Some mothers simply do not deserve to be responsible for raising children, and fortunately the judge saw that as well as the fairness that Robin Altson should not be paid for children she was not raising.

Thomas "T.J." Just did an amazing job for me and helped me out with a difficult case. I highly recommend him as he puts 110% in all his work.

Thomas is an intelligent (chess master) lawyer who, with his military background, is not afraid of a fight. You couldn't hire a better lawyer to take on tough situations.

Communication is a key factor when selecting an attorney! I had questions and she responding quickly! She is very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend!
