I was leery at first, but I was at my wits end with debt since the BIG covid outbreak, losing job, then losing where I was living, I sound like a country song, but then my car broke down and couldn't get to a job even if I found one, when some companies started hiring again as I lived out in the country at this point with no public transportation.... then more crazy stuff happened, and I just ran out of funds and was living on my credit cards...... I didn't have the money to pay for a bankruptcy but then was able to sell my broken car as-is for just the amount I needed and so I went for it...........Best idea ever, they were supportive thru the whole ordeal, constant emails and phone calls with step-by-step dealings etc. Utter kindness and answered all my crazy random questions. I just wish now I wouldn't have waited so long...I HIGHLY recommend Lincoln-Goldfinch Law. Though I know it's their business, but I didn't feel like just another file number... Thank you for making it easy for me to get thru that horrible time.

I was offered a free consultation, which is unusual since lots of people want free advice from immigration lawyers, but I accepted. It turns out it was a call with an assistant and it honestly felt like a high pressure sales pitch. I probably shouldn't have expected something for free, but I don't agree with calling that a consultation. Anyway, I just need to have them check some exhibits I already created, edit them down as they consider appropriate (I assume a few billable hours), print them, and send them to the government on my behalf for a fiance visa. To do that, they want $8000, but that seems outrageous. I can have a good lawyer hanging a shingle do it for me with for under half that if I don't waste their time. I was told it was a virtual law firm but that I would have an "entire team". Is that a good thing? Up to you, but that would technically be true about other virtual law firms you can find on google that cost under $1500 and provide services that do technically involve support by multiple people. I don't get it, doesn't seem like a good value proposition to me. I told their assistant/salesman that I would call him if I wanted to move forward and not to call me. He insisted on calling me back in a week. Clearly, I am a lead. Didn't expect the high pressure sales tactics.
