I had no idea when I began the divorce process that it would turn into a Greek tragedy. In that drama, I was only a minor player. There seemed to be greater forces at work because I definitely had no control. My divorce attorney, Mat Rueda, maintained his composure, professionalism, and keen insight despite what was happening on the legal stage. Often, my over-reaction to words and behaviors from the other side required his clear admonishment to dial back my emotions and ignore what seemed like direct attacks to my manhood, compassion, and sense of reasonableness. Mat’s been doing family law for some time. He can be trusted. He has the best interest of his clients at heart. He knows the law and is not fazed by what are often just theatrics and distractions to what is truly at stake; ending a marriage without giving away the store or losing your mind in the process. I recommend Mat. He will find a way to make sure you get the best result and keep an eye on the bottom-line cost as much as possible. I don’t think you can find a more committed attorney to guide you in what can be a brutal, confusing process.
