Mr. Starnes is a man of integrity and honesty. Not only is he a great attorney but he truly cares about his clients and wants the best for them. He guided me every step of the way and made sure I understood every process. He is professional and diligent. He will fight for you and is someone you want in your corner. I retained the services of Mr. Malachi Daws for two separate and very different cases. One was a family law case and the other was a personal injury/auto accident case. Each case was handled expertly and professionally and his team was always available to answer any questions I had...and I had a lot of them! For both cases, I received the outcome I wanted. You won’t regret it. ********************************************* Year: 2017-2018 This review has turned out to be a long overdue one but not forgotten. My apologies for that Malachi. AVVO is ridiculously picky about what we write and kept wanting me to leave out what I think are very important points: Malachi is the "Billy McBride" (Prime Amazon original - 'Goliath'), and/or "The Lincoln Lawyer" (watch the movie so you'll understand) of Southeast Texas. His legal intelligence, communication/listening skills, judgement, analytical/research skills, people skills and his ability to articulate a handful of carefully planned questions that takes apart a witness during cross examination is second to none. My case is a family law case that has involved continuous trips to court with attempts at trying to limit my time and involvement in my daughter's life by requesting modifications to my possession and access every 2-3 years. My case started out in Central Texas and due to a move, taking my daughter 200+ miles away from me, a change in venue came about that brought my case to Southeast Texas. For the last 12 years, I have utilized a handful of attorneys. Unfortunately, every attorney I retained along the way did the bare minimum at representing my case with the last one (before Malachi) not doing enough to ensure the geographical restriction in place would keep my daughter close to me. In hindsight, this move turned out to be a fortunate one in that it brought me to Malachi who in my opinion has been a "godsend" and the answer to my prayers. In my last court appearance, Malachi successfully guided me through everything that was thrown at me. There were frustrating moments with some of the stuff that came my way, but Malachi was there every step of the way guiding me and reassuring me that everything would turn out fine. During our temporary orders hearing, I was able to observe Malachi in action and his ability to listen and articulate carefully planned questions for opposing party is amazing. I observed how Malachi's questioning caused opposing party to stumble through her responses. Malachi also has a strong presence in the court room that commands respect and admiration by both opposing counsel and the judge. Although opposing party hired one of the most well known attorney in the area for family law, in the end it was reassuring to see how opposing counsel capitulated to Malachi's requests on my behalf. My case ended with both my ex-wife and I (through our attorneys) settling on what modifications would be put into the latest court order and it was to my satisfaction as it included what I requested. Most importantly, Malachi made sure it included what was best, not just for us (parents) but, for my daughter as it ensured she continued to have a relationship with me (her father). I am very satisfied with Malachi's representation of my case and would not hesitate in calling him again to represent me if the need arises. He is MY attorney and "go to guy" that I feel very comfortable and blessed in calling him that. May God grant him many more years in this profession and keep him and his family in good health. With confidence I say to any of you contemplating in hiring Malachi to represent you, "Do it, you won't be disappointed".

I went to David Starnes for probate on both my parents' wills/estates and he was not just excellent and professional as an attorney, but genuinely caring and always willing to answer my (many) questions and concerns.
