Craig Michalk started out as my husband’s divorce lawyer and when we reconciled our marriage, he worked to dismiss the divorce proceedings and switched gears as our family lawyer. My husband is transgender and Craig walked us through the adoption process for my husband to legally adopt our daughter that we conceived via donor. The process is no fun but he did all the hard stuff for us, all we had to do was gather the needed documents and complete the home study and background check. We showed up to his office for virtual court (because of covid) and the adoption was finalized. Right after the adoption was finalized he immediately got to work on my husbands name and gender change and within a few months that process was over as well. I cannot rate him high enough. He is kind, professional, and completely nonjudgmental and if this was his first time working with an LGBTQ family we never would have known! Will never go with anyone else.

I had a previous lawyer that was completely incompetent and was there only for the money. Not only did Craig help me get my kids back from their mother but he didn't charged me for every little thing like most lawyers do. Craig is steady and if you listen to him and follow through he will lead you down the right path.
