If you or your child ever has the misfortune of finding themselves entangled in Texas A&M's Academic Integrity process do yourself a favor and hire Shane Phelps. We were caught in a situation that seemed to have no resolution. Despite our child's innocence, we could not get anyone from the University to listen to us or give us any opportunity to state our case. It wasn't until we got Mr. Phelps involved that there was any movement in the case. Mr. Phelps knowledge of the University processes, people and solid plan to address the accusations against us were critical to ultimately getting the accusations dropped. When kids do stupid things, they say stupid things. My son got in a mess, and surprise, surprise, his friends were of no help to him. I made the trip to Bryan, after talking several times with Shane. Shane straightened out the mess, and calmed me down with several options and resources to research. It almost killed us. I am a caretaker for my mother - so while I am watching one family member deteriorate daily, I am seeing my beloved son's future destroyed, in just a few moments. It would be wise to keep Shane's number for quick reference, while your children are going through that stupid stage... and I also recommend that you pray over your teens that the "stupid" will get out of them, as quick as possible.

Not only would I recommend Shane, I will use him again if needed. He is extremely knowledgeable and yet somehow does not come across as arrogant. Shane makes you feel as though you are his only client. He returns your call promptly and keeps you informed along the way.
