During the pandemic I got hit with a charge in nueces. It was totally unexpected, I thought I was doing everything right, friends of mine referred me to cash, and since the moment I spoke with him, he fought by my side and gave me my life back!! Got 2 yrs deferred!! Cash and Chloe are there every step of the way! He is the only lawyer I'll ever recommend or use!!

A friend and I were brought in on the same charge. We then went and hired our respective legal counsel for the issue. My friend's lawyer was more expensive (by 33%), didn't really care one way or another about the outcome, and ended up getting my friend probation. Cash Connely, on the other hand, was fantastic. He was communicative, punctual, and genuinely cared about the outcome of my case. Throughout the experience, I was updated, assured, and given Cash's realistic opinion on the matter. He was personable, and I genuinely enjoyed the periods we were in court together. In my case, I was offered the same probation. Instead of accepting it and calling it a day, Cash fought for me. He spent the whole day persuading the prosecutors and putting in effort that my friends lawyer never did. And in the end, my case was dropped. If you find yourself in a situation, look no further. You will not regret hiring Cash Connely.

Mr. Connelly was recommended to me by my brother for a criminal charge that I was trying to handle. Hiring Mr. Connelly was the best decision I made. He was very assertive to listening to what I had to say and he took my case from there. He is extremely professional and thorough. I live out of state and not only did he resolve my case without me having to drive to Texas but he was able to get ALL charges dropped. If you are in need of an Attorney I would highly recommend hiring Mr. Connelly. He cares about his clients and gives you the best of himself in representing you. I feel indebted to him for what he did for me. My thanks again Mr. Connelly. You're the Best!!

Cash Connelly was initially a court appointed attorney assigned to me after I waited for my paid attorney to do something for me and to no avail after being in Nueces County for 40 days with no word as to when i would get out I finally caved in and requested a court appointed attorney thinking that court appointed attorneys really didnt fight for you the way a paid one would. Boy was I wrong about this attorney!! Attorney CASH Connelly in ONE day after i submitred my req for court appointed attrny. IN that one initial visit from him he was able to accomplish more in that one day and following week than the entire 40 days of my encarceration!! He met w me and obtained all the information he needed to defend me adequately and successfully. He scheduled a speedy trial within 5 days from the 1st day I met Cash . By that following Friday i was in the court room in front of my judge and given the floor to speak. After my testimony the prosecution then decided to add some tid bits of false information to persuade the judge to lean towards the prosecution, at the time I was dumb founded, left speechless not knowing what to say in regards to their false claims and Cash Connelly quickly took control of the situation and stated plainly and as a matter a factly the truth of the situation and in a very professional and non chalant manner made the prosecution look rather slimey and a bit unprepared and unable to support their claims. To the judges full capabilities of doing her job correctly and fairly due to her years of experience saw the truth for what it was and sided with myself and Mr Connelly and granted exactly what Mr Connelly was asking for which was leniance in my case and another chance , another chance to redeem myself before the courts. Mr Connelly was so astute in my defense and so thorough that there is no one else I would ever want to represent me in a criminal case in a court of law other than Attorney Cash Connelly, he is the best and he is more than fair in price as far as the attorney fees go, he is flexible and worked with me on the financial aspect of it on more than two other occassions that I have since then contracted him to represent me and/or a family member in court. Cash Connelly will fight for you and will get you a opportunity to present your case before your judge in a speedy trial process and provide all necessary documentation to win your case hands down... I gurantee it . i know it because I lived it .

This Lawyer rocks. He is truly on your side and fights until there is a good or acceptable resolution. He was court appointed to me in San Patricio county twice and both times he was great. He also has a wonderful bubbly personality.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Corpus Christi, Texas?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
