Changed council for our business a year or so ago and could not be happier with Brian Calhoun. He is not only extremely detailed but is over the top attentive. The ability to instantly get your attorney and for him to complete whats needed asap is priceless in our business. Love the way he thinks outside the box and helps us guide our business in a manner that is good for everyone. Having someone with his experience to consult with has proven to be the missing link as we continue to scale our company.

Friendly, efficient, and reliable. Very grateful to office staff that reached out to me and my husband on our auto accident. Medical treatment and settlement was more than we expected but very grateful through it all.

About two years ago I was referred to Blake Brownshadel to represent my company Micrah Marketing & Management, Inc. in a Breach of Contract lawsuit against a former client of mine. From the very beginning I knew I found the proverbial “right guy for the job”.
Mr. Brownshadel was enthusiastic, professional and was excellent with his communication. He updated me often with how things were progressing helping me to understand that the wheels of justice often spin slowly.
About 15 months into this case Blake was making a decision to change law firms and become a Partner at Calhoun, Bhella & Sechrest, LLP (“CBS”) in Dallas, Texas. As of the time of these comments this case is still active. Since moving to CBS, Blake and his other attorney partners, at the firm, have all worked together on giving me excellent legal advice. It’s amazing that during this entire experience I’ve never felt a bit of anxiety regarding my case. I credit that to Blake, his legal acumen, communication and the team he has assembled at CBS who genuinely care about me, my case and its outcome.
After this experience I’ve learned the importance to have a great legal team in my corner. Whatever my legal needs I found the team with Blake Brownshadel and Calhoun, Bhella & Sechrest, LLP.

In any professional setting, particularly within the legal and correctional systems, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and courtesy is paramount. Mr. Ashford's behavior, as described, raises significant concerns given the gravity of the situation involving an inmate whose life is at stake. Unprofessional conduct and a lack of courtesy in such critical circumstances not only undermine the integrity of the legal process but also jeopardize the fair treatment and well-being of individuals relying on the system for justice and humane treatment.
When dealing with inmates, especially those facing life-threatening situations, it is crucial for all involved parties to exhibit a high degree of empathy, respect, and diligence. The stakes are incredibly high, and even minor lapses in professionalism can have devastating consequences. The behavior of Mr. Ashford, as reported, could lead to mistrust in the system and potentially hinder the inmate's access to fair representation and due process. It is essential for professionals in these roles to uphold ethical standards and ensure that every individual's rights and dignity are preserved.
Addressing such issues requires systemic accountability and continuous training for those in positions of authority. The legal and correctional systems must foster environments where respect, professionalism, and humanity are the norms. Ensuring this standard not only benefits the individuals directly involved but also upholds the broader principles of justice and equity that are foundational to a fair society..

I followed Blake Brownshadel from another firm and have had such an excellent experience over the last couple of years working with him. He’s handled (presently) a long and drawn out business divorce as well as corporate contractual issues that have popped up with my niche business. The firm is super responsive and has many resources in house for a variety of counsel and specialties that make working with CBS easy and efficient - especially as a busy business owner.

Our organization has used Calhoun Bhella & Seacrest for over 4 years. Brian Calhoun has helped us launch new businesses and also been a great asset with acquisitions we’ve completed. Our experience has been great with knowing the legal work is great, but they also help us run our business the right way. I’d highly recommend!
