Mr. Michelsen is either really on or really off. His ADD prevents him at times to stay on subject or task. He is lost as a goose in the trial court room and has little to nothing to offer in terms of appelate abilities. He is not consistent with what he says and will deny things that he has said earlier that do not coincide what he currently says. He just cannot be trusted to have the clients best interest at heart. He will lead you down a path to jail time if he represents you in trial. He will have little to nothing to offer as an appelate attorney. We trusted him to have my best interest at heart and he used it to get me shipped off to jail and out of his hair by deceiving me!

My Family were referred to Mick Mickelsen by another attorney. From day one we met Mick, we felt he knew what he is doing!! Most of all I appreciate his honesty, diligence, professionalism and his extent knowledge of the law! He is a great attorney with great tactics. First, he is one of the brightest, most thoughtful, creative, and incisive thinkers I know. Second, I am not a lawyer, but I see lots of lawyers in the courtroom. As far as I’m concerned, Mr. Mickelson should teach trial tactics. He has ability to precisely focus on the most relevant issues and get them into evidence. Furthermore, he is very good at making the trial about the facts, his client, and not him. Few do this as well as he does. Working with him is a pleasure not just because he appreciates my work, but because it is intensely gratifying to have the opportunity to work with such a good lawyer. I will work for him anytime he asks me, and if I or someone I knew needed a criminal lawyer, he would be at the top of my list.

Mr. MICKELSON did an extraordinary job when he helped my friend get released from Lee Sterret on some made up charges the police put on him, very diligent, professional, always keeping in touch my friend and being true to his word.

My wife was charged with two counts of a felony deadly weapon charge. We were scared and did not know where to turn. This came to us on a Sunday evening so we began to look up attorneys, she found John Helms and emailed him. He emailed and called us back that evening we did not have to wait until Monday to talk to him which took a load off of our minds. Preparing for trial he is awesome and very through in every aspect of his defense. He personally made several trips to our house to go over the details of what she had been charged with and to photograph the area it happened in. When she went to court John had all the evidence right at his hand that he personally collected. He had graphs, photographs, witnesses subpoena the whole 9 yards, he left no stone unturned. I am ecstatic to say when my wife got to court, all of John's outstanding work was apparent to the jury and the judge and even the DA. I would highly recommend John Helms if you should ever come up on the need to have an attorney. This man is highly intelligent in do respect to the law and he works hard for your defense.

Mick Mickelsen represented me in a federal criminal trial and won an acquittal verdict. It was a complicated trade secret case and Mick took the time to understand the technical details and was able to quickly parse the important case relevant facts from the trivial information. Mick's performance in court was superb. Quite different from his usual soft spoken demeanor, once he gets in the court he is very sharp and aggressive. No details escaped his attention when it came to cross examining witnesses. His logic is flawless and his arguments are strong. I had a defense team of three wonderful attorneys and I give all of them credit for winning the acquittal verdict. However I believe Mick's direct examination of myself was probably the most important piece of evidence that the jury considered. Mick was able to lay out all the facts clearly and simply in front of the jury despite the fact the prosecutor kept bringing up smoke screens and irrelevant facts. So if you are innocent of the crime you are accused of, then let Mick fight for you in court. Mick is one attorney I know that believes in justice and believes in keeping the innocent out of prison.
