I don't even know where to begin. I called Mr. Waterman's firm for a quote concerning a misdemeanor case for possession of a dangerous drug. I didn't have any money, and worse credit. I had exhausted all the resets the Court would allow me. So, I called in desperation, and I praise God that I did. He put me on a flexible payment plan and he GOT TO WORK! I had a old prior felony conviction for heroin possession under a gram. I got busted with three Dilaudid. The payment plan was structured so that I would have paid in full by the time my case was over. Unfortunately, the city I was busted in moved a lot quicker than most, meaning to get him paid off on time it would have essentially have to be paid all at once. Instead of breaking the news to me by dropping me as a client, he told me he wasn't changing my payment plan and that I could continue to make payments after my case was closed. Considering how bad my credit is, He must have expected that he was essentially doing it pro Bono,(he never said as much to me, but if I were him, I would have thought that. He never talked down to me or patronized me, nope he shot it straight with me. He actually got to know me and listened to my side of the story. He showed palpable concern for my sobriety and my ability or lack thereof to complete any type of probation for an extended period of time. He showed concern about whether or not I kept my job after all was said and done. He worked the DA down from a year deferred to just 10 days in jail, but he made sure I could report at a later time so I could get my affairs in order and notify my employer so I could keep working. He delivered everything he said he would and then some. More than anything else, he showed faith in me when I had lost it in myself. Warren, if you read this, thank you so much.
