In my experience the next scariest thing about making a decision to get divorced was the horror stories about dealing with divorce attorneys. I literally had no idea what to expect or how to choose an attorney based on the complexity of my case. I lived in Austin and did get a referral from an acquaintance regarding Michael. We set up an initial consult and really got everything on the table with my situation. Mr. Granata is very thorough and really made me feel like her understood what I was dealing with. I personally appreciated the time he took to make sure I understood my options and not making assumptions about what direction I wanted to go. I have a busy career probably like most others in these types of situations and have a real appreciation when someone respects my time and consolidates meetings/information. Mr. Granata definitely falls into this category. My situation had some unique circumstances and when Michael didn't have an immediate answer, he let me know, and was sure to have it next time we spoke. Another quality I respect. Even though (obligatory joke) I hope I never have to deal with Mr. Granata again, I have definitely walked away with the confidence that he represented my best interests in an efficient manner. I would/do recommend to anyone unfortunate enough to end up in a situation where you would need his help

My divorce ended up being a very lengthy process and through it all Michael did a great job helping me take the legal steps necessary to get through my divorce. He was always very honest in the advice and counsel he gave me regarding concerns I had during my divorce.
