Mr. Hood is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He doesn’t sugar coat and doesn’t waste time. That kind of honesty is hard to come by. He gives you his time and is always available. Definitely recommend.

I’ve had the pleasure of using attorney Don Hood on several occasions. You might be surprised that the cases that Don handled for me were not bankruptcy related. One occurrence was a civil issue he worked for me many years ago; which we won! Another time was a Power of Attorney and Will. The most recent case was him setting me up as the Executor to my mom’s estate through the Tarrant County Courts. As you can see, Don is knowledgeable in many areas of law. He is very professional and well-studied in the cases he represents. One of best compliments I could ever say about him is he responds quickly to your questions/concerns. That level of service is rare in almost any business anymore, and to be getting it from a law firm without having to hand over your checkbook each time is even more rare. You feel like you have your own personal attorney working in the best interest of you. Come to think of it, that’s exactly what you’re getting! We have just been so accustomed to not setting the bar high for professions like this because of what they typically deliver. I believe you will find Don is different than most. This was a great experience. My case was unique and Don spent a lot of time with me getting a clear understanding of everything. After all, we decided it was in my best interest to not push forward. If I would of gone with another firm than they would of taken my money and I would of not known about the repercussions until it was too late. I’m so glad I chose my gut instinct on this. About 10 years ago I had gotten involved with someone that turned out to be a con artist. Long story short I ended up with about $40,000 of credit card debt that I could not pay on my own. I was trying to make the minimum payments, recently divorced with two young children and going to several meetings with different firms that would just want me to fill out all these forms! I was embarrassed, ashamed, and forms for the last thing that I wanted to deal with! I had been taken to the cleaners and I just wanted someone to help take the burden off my shoulders. I don't remember how I found Don's office. It truly may have been divine intervention and I don't say that lightly! He is very kind and gentle and soft-spoken but he really knows the law and what he's talking about! He has a very Southern drawl that put me right at ease. He told me exactly what to do and explained what he was going to do and guess what I don't remember filling out any forms! I'm sure I signed a few things- but there were no big packets handed to me with the words, return these and we'll see what we can do. He handled everything! It was so easy I could hardly believe that it was done! In fact I had all my bills with me and I asked him do I need to keep these? He said oh no I can take those and shred them. For some stupid reason I felt I might need them so I said I guess I'll hold on to them. Boy was that dumb! I have never needed those bills to this day - 10 years later! If he asks you, do you want me to take those bills for you and shred them? Do not hesitate!! Hand them over as fast as you can! Don is so kind and he makes you feel like you are a real person and that bankruptcy was put in place for a reason. He never once looked at me like I some sort of criminal. He had nothing but compassion and kindness towards me. In fact, I had a question about 2 months ago and I called him any truly remembered who I was!! 10 years later!! Wow, I sure wish he had been the first bankruptcy lawyer that I had gone to! So, moral to this story hey, if you're reading all of these reviews and you feel like you're at the end of your rope and there's no hope, just get on the phone and call Don Hood! What could have been a very scary and very stressful situation turned into an incredible experience. My wife and I felt completely at ease working with Don.
